Not the way I was thinking but I do see the value of going defense as well. It's just a matter of what you think will help us most. Don't think there's a bad choice here. If we get Simmons and McKinney with our first 2 picks nobody should be disappointed. Personally I don't think McKinney or Delpit at Safety last to the 2nd rd. But we'll all find out soon enough. But that would be 2 defensive standouts. And our Starting secondary of McKinney and Peppers at Safety and Bradbury and Baker at CB would look awful promising to me. McKinney has one weakness - tackling. Simmons takes bad angles and struggles to shed blockers. Yes let’s take them both. Why choose to provide protection for our franchise QB - he’s proven he can take hit after hit after hit........ How anyone would be OK with this mock ever being remotely realistic is frightening More than a few of us have put into major detail with logical reason and facts why doing this would be catastrophic to this team Yet we get mocked....

I guess it comes with the territory. When was the last time you were in a room full of people who all knew what the hell they were talking about. The defensive load mindset by “ some “ is a bit disturbing. Stay on course.

Pretty scary how easily it is to predict the reactions to this mock lmao.
I highly doubt we go S in round two and think the strength of this draft is in the OT position and that will have the better value. C is another possibility, possibly edge.
Simmons is a tweener that takes bad angles, no safety's in the draft can tackle, Young isn't how you spell Bosa and had a bad game that one time, Thomas has clumsy feet, Becton is too big, Wirfs has short arms, Wills is too soft, Okudah went to Eli Apple University. Man I hope we don't get any of these scrubs. If we are lucky we will end up with Derrick Brown.

So you would be willing to have a malfunctioning O line with a young qb that has to learn a new system without any OTAs and the game still having to slow down for him.. Basicly you want a new GM to pick a new QB in s few years by being OK with this scenario 2 non priority positions 1 and 2 when the priority has to be build around Jones As the first line I wrote was "not the way I was thinking" I too was thinking OT in the 1st and leaning toward Center in the 2nd if there's one good enough there when we pick.
But it doesn't mean I don't understand the thought of fixing the defense first. It's also a solid way of thinking. I believe getting Simmons and McKinney would certainly improve our defense significantly. Plus signing Golden this unit could be quite impressive.
But I still say fixing that OL will help us more. Not only protecting Jones but to run block for Saquon. He's going to be our offense. Something like Tennessee with Henry I'm picturing. TOP running the ball will also help the defense. And Jones is a much better option thru the air than Tannerhill is with the Titans.
But that's where I am at. I'm not set in stone with my thinking. I do want one of these OT's but I wouldn't be upset with Simmons.

Good explanation of your perspective - I guess I interpreted your post incorrectly. I am one who prefers to blast anyone who proposes the first two picks be on defense.

Pretty scary how easily it is to predict MysticMike the Irish Merlin "I predicted, we were gonna draft....Barkley" Amazing! My predictions? 1 - Barkley will miss more games then Clowney at the same points in their careers - far more if we avoid a tackle and center this year 2 - MysticMike will want to sign Barkley to a second contract because "we never sign any of our own players to second contracts" 3 - The Irish Merlin will then repeat that 50 plus times per week as the debates to sign him or not heat up I hate to use these powers as they are unfair on any message board, but I used to be a licensed sorcerer.
