Out last Good Line was Snee, Suebert, O’Hara McKenzie and Diehl. Who was your favorite? I feel like Diehl stayed a little too long and fans couldn’t wait to see him go. My favorite was Snee. Guy was all business

How about the playoff bound 11-5 2016 Giants with Erek Flowers minding Eli’s blind side?
You know, the team with the D that was ranked 2nd in the NFL that year?
Just kidding.
Give me Benson, Ard, Oates, Godfrey and Nelson with Pat Sumerall calling the lineup.

Ard, being a local kid, there was anticipation in the crowd at the draft that they might take him. There was a crudely made sign out on the floor that simply read "Make Ard Your Guard." LOL, it doesn't seem like that long ago.......I guess it was. That was a nice line and although no one from it will be a threat to make the HOF, every one of them was good or better and NONE of them were turnstiles or sieves the likes of which we've had too many over the past 8 years.

I actually liked Seubert. When he broke his leg against Philly I was worried he might not quite be the same, but he came back better than ever. He played with a mean streak..

Guy was all business Other than Snee there Wasn't anyone great on that line..But what made that line very good is they played very smart with physicality and cohesion

Seubert is my favorite of those guys. I'm not saying he was the best player, cause he was not, but his grit, and determination were second to none, and his on field demeanor was so mean. You can win a lot of games with guys like him on the team.

Snee was my favorite but I really like O'Hara as well because he looked just like Peyton Mannings Center Jeff Saturday.

I remember something about Diehl grading badly at LT, but I thought he always got the job done. I mean have we had a better LT since?

He gets bashed here a lot, but his versatility was key to getting those rings. Just goes to show, the cowboys with maybe the best ol in decades has nothing to show for it. A good ol is enough on a well coached team.

Loved Rich Suebert undrafted then gets a spiral fracture against the eagles and comes back. Dude was the guy who set the tone starting in training camp. What made his climb so impressive undrafted then to deal with about the worst kind of fracture you can have a twisting of the bone till it snaps was just a tribute to the guy perseverance. There was major concern he would lose length in the leg that was broken. Loved all of our great lines but Richie took it because of what it took for him to get there then stay there.

The Giants were blessed during those superbowl years with a balanced team, good everywhere with a few sprinkles of really good mixed in. And that OL stayed healthy and together for 5 or 6 years.

Most of you couldn't possibly know this OL it was decades before you were born. But when I was growing up in the 50's and early 60's we had a hell of an offense based of course by a monster OL.
We had HOF LT- Rosey Brown #79, pro bowl LG- Darrell Dess #62, HOF Center- Ray Weitecha #55, RG- Greg Larsen #53 (before Harry Carsen) he later became our starting Center for about 10 years, and our pro bowl RT-Jack Stroud #66, barrell chested strong man if ever anyone ever looked like a weight lifter it was Jack.
They blocked for Charley Connerly and Y.A. Tittle. Went to 6 Championship games in 8 years. It has to be our greatest era ever. Frank Gifford and Alex Webster ran behind this awesome line. After Gifford broke his back he became a WR for the 2nd half of his career. When Frank Gifford introduced his son to Rosey Brown he told him if it wasn't for #79 he wouldn't be in the HOF.
They must have a minimum of 4 of these players with their numbers retired in the starting 11 of that offense.
When I was a kid and a teenager these guys were Gods to me. Thanks for reminding me to remember.

thanks for your input. It’s nice have a message board filled with different generations. You can definitely see different train of thoughts. That’s for sure

One of my favorite linemen was Bart Oates. Signed from the USFL, was a great center and was our long snapper. Hated that he finished his career with the 49ers. Chris Snee is a close second. I feel he was all pro good even though he never got the recognition as an all pro. I forget the game but he did a sweep and put a defender right on his ass. Guy was built like a truck.

Someone needs to get him a steak stat. I credit these guys though. We don’t see the amount of calories these guys have to intake during their careers. The amount of stress they put on their joints and the heavy weight lifting. Once they retire they can for a better word live normal.

More proof that after quarterbacks, OL are the smartest guys on the roster. It will add years to their lives and untold quality to their lives. btw, I had Snee pegged at 190, it is really dramatic. AND, I didn't realize he never made all pro......odd. He surely played like it.

I said the same thing. I did a little research and he was a 1st team all pro in ‘08.

I met Diehl after a game once. Was by the tunnel and team bus. He came out to the fans outside of the gate talking it up. Steve Weatherford was awesome too.

86' OL is my all time favorite. What about the 2000 SB OL? They were pretty good, way better than what we've had these past 8+yrs.
LT Lomas Brown LG Glenn Parker C Dusty Zeigler RG Ron Stone RT Luke Petitgout
