Was someone just trolling or was it the random order 1st pick of Cincinnati?
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, a participant in the exercise said there was already a hiccup. “Mock draft today already technical glitch w Cincinnatis 1st pick!!! Brutal,” the participant wrote. The mock draft order doesn’t follow Thursday’s, and the names of prospects has been randomized. The Cowboys were scheduled to pick first in this afternoon’s mock draft

I'm not too worried about the first night, should be pretty easy just pick your top 4 and see which one is left.
Also heard the entire Atlanta Falcons staff had to have land lines installed in their houses, just in case.

Yea seriously how hard could it be? Get a chatroom going and have a moderator lock who can write anything (only people that can write in the chatroom is the team on the clock, or have everyone call in and have a switchboard like the 1950s...

You would've thought that a big organization like the NFL would have had some contingency plan in place just in case something happened. It is kind of funny though seeing these stodgy old men trying to navigate the interwebs. I know the IT guys have to be ready to quit by now. It is hard enough here at work trying to show one 70+ year old how to navigate through Word.
Here is to the IT guys!

Charley Casserly was on BBK and said there was that 1 glitch the rest went smooth and several GMs said they will be able to make trades and do what ever they need to.

I am sure the picks will be simultaneously submitted in more than one way.

"glitch" and "crippling problem" are not the same thing - like to know what the glitch was.

Why couldnt the NFL just use an office building with all 32 teams in different rooms and have secured connected phones within the building? It really doesnt seem that hard TBH.

This would've made sense. Social distancing and all that would've taken place. The only problem I could see from this idea though is that you cannot let the Patriots get there first....they would've wiretapped and set up hidden cameras in every room.

IDK, maybe it is just me but they seem to be over complicating this.
When a team makes a pick, send a group text to all GMs who was selcted...clock starts on the next pick....GM calls the NFL office and tells them who they are picking or that they are trading the pick....repeat. Am I missing something that requires this to be more complicated than this? Let each team worry about their own communication, league office just needs to take a call and send a text.
