Detroit Lions left tackle Taylor Decker has joined a new sports agency, per his twitter account. Decker has joined with AMDG Sports, the first sports agency “dedicated to the representation of offensive line athletes.”
Decker, who also trained at Bentley’s performance center, is one of a handful of clients of the new sports agency, which also include former Lions Pro Bowl guard Larry Warford, Bobby Massie and even a couple of 2020 draft picks in Shane Lemieux and Justin Herron.

I don't really know how sports agencies work other than them representing athletes. I guess this one is just limiting their clientele to offensive linemen. To me that would seem limiting your finances though they are picking one of the premiere positions I guess. I wonder if punters and kickers have their own agency?

Im going to sit here and say this is interesting but in reality I have no clue what this really means. It means a bunch of fat guys have their own sport agency. No longer will they have to fend for themselves to find an agent. Now, these guys will find you. “You’ve done enough heavy lifting on your part, now let us do the rest.” I got their slogan already for them.

It is just marketing and packaging of ones self. It gives them something different to say as a means to bring on new clients. "We represent OL and only OL. We know the skills intimately and understand the market better than the generalists who don't know a DB from an OT. We also know that OL (between the tackles) are undervalued and we are hell bent on fixing that." In other words, a bunch of sales mumbo jumbo.

Good for him, now he doesn’t have to pay the 4% to an agent. I believe Gary Sheffield negotiated all his contracts during his baseball career as well.
