I thought he was going to live forever. Everyone tip their hat in a show of respect. One of the biggest coaches this sport has ever seen is no longer with us. In his 33 years of coaching he only had two losing seasons. Think about that, he coached during the Steelers dynasty in the ‘70s and the 49ers dynasty in the ‘80s. My grandfathers favorite coach. RIP coach, we’ll miss you.

Belichick is 55 wins away from Shula's all-time NFL wins record.
Do you think he'll pass Shula?
He's the only one who probably ever could.

Belichick is 55 wins away from Shula's all-time NFL wins record. Do you think he'll pass Shula? He's the only one who probably ever could. Don Shula was not only the most successful coach and for that matter was very successful in business as well. But he was so respected by everyone. Can't ask for too much more than success and respect. Coached 2 of the greatest QB's that ever played Unitas and Marino. Needless to say the undefeated team and won 2 SB. He will be missed by any who remember him.
I don't know if Belichek makes it or not. He'll need 5 more years at best. Belichek is 66 years old does he want to coach into his 70's probably not being as successful ? Would need to average 11 wins per year, is that going to happen without Brady ?

I listened to Larry Czonka talk about Coach Shula's influence to the undefeated season. I'm not sure that could ever happen again.
Condolences to Coach Mike and his family. Coach Mike must have some amazing stories about his dad.
RIP Coach Shula.
