did they forget Rhet Elisson went mentioning TE "Like we broke down in the preview, the Giants will lean on 12 personnel -- with two tight ends -- as their base starting offensive personnel grouping. Ellison has proven capable of impacting the game as both a receiver and premier blocker. In the passing game, Ellison finished with the best catch percentage of any tight end in the NFL (39 who qualified) according to Pro Football Focus in 2017. In the blocking game, Ellison has made his impact felt early and often this preseason after grading out as a top-10 blocker last season, per PFF.Ellison has been moved around but used mostly as an inline tight end this preseason. We expect to see him get some run as a fullback as well."PS: love this stat Ellison finished with the best catch percentage of any tight end in the NFL

So we cut cheaper RBs just for Stewart to end up as our 3rd running back. Great.

One thing is for sure. You can’t tell the players without a scorecard.

I just hope they run the first play down Jalen Ramsay’s throat.

I just hope they run the first play down Jalen Ramsay’s throat. Quick screen pass to OBJ with Hernandez leading the way sounds good to me.

A little surprised they only kept 3 TEs when they seems to be planning on running a lot of 2 TE sets.

And now with the additional LB they added yesterday they cut a really good RB prospect in Martin. Leaving only Barkley, Gallman & Stewart as the RBs and the FB.
FB seems like a wasted roster spot with the TE heavy package they are going to use
Hopefully Martin at least lands a spot on the PS. But the other decent prospect Simmons is already on it. So maybe he takes his spot?

Jalen and most everyone else would expect the ball to not go his way. I would take the opposite approach and go with the dynamic explosive veteran receiver on him , go right after this big mouth. Shut this dude up once and for all. Its time for beckham to step up and let his game do the talking. Punch these guys in the mouth off the bat. Play action deep pass and set the tone out the gate. Force Jags to answer with their no having #1 receiver offense.

I still think Stewart will be an effective part of this offense. He is old for RB and in preseason he was just going through the motions. At least that’s where I stand until he shows in the real season that he is done. Maybe I am being too hopeful.....IDK

Stewart will be used mostly as a situational RB (short yardage).

Giants have to dictate the game to J-ville & make Bortles beat em with his arm. Contain Fournette & let's see what their WRs can do. In no way shape or form should Shurmer be playing a conservative game with them. Attack attack attack on O should be the game plan all game. Last offense the Jags faced that had a QB/RB/WR trio as good as ours was in the playoffs vs Pittsburgh & they got lit up for 42pts. Hopefully the Giants staff watched a lot of film of that game as well as the SF game where they got lit up for another 40 burger. IMO, J-Ville D is very good but not anywhere near as good as people think. The Giants have the offensive weapons to put up pts on them. You figure if they try to take OBJ outta the game with double coverage, that leaves Shep/Engram/SB/Gallman/Ellison for Eli to throw to.

Giants have updated their depth chart. Lauletta and Tanney are both listed as the back-up for whatever reason.
