Thinks Baker will be exonerated soon, said potentially as early as the end of this week.... profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/06/03/deandre-bakers-lawyer-we-have-the-case-won/cbssports.com/nfl/news/deandre-bakers-attorney-believes-giants-cornerback-will-be-exonerated-soon-i-think-weve-got-this-case-won/ Not sure if anything has changed behind the curtains, but I'd love some good luck for a change! Bradberry, Baker, Holmes, Beal, Ballentine, Haley, Peppers, McKinney, and Love.....that's a very young, and very promising Secondary.

Almost every secondary looks promising until they hit the field. Still need to see more from Baker, Ballentine and Love. We know what Haley is, good depth player, reliable tackler not great in coverage. Yet to see Holmes and McKinney play.
Hopefully secondary becomes a strength of this team, lots of assets were put into it thats for sure.

He’s in a great position to make a lot people look pretty stupid for some of the things they said about him after that arrest.

Let's hope it lights a fire under his arse. I'm glad it seems to be working in his favor. Was pretty shocking when it all first broke.

So we're not kicking him off the team voiding his contract and spitting in his general direction anymore?
I need an assistant.

If the charges are dropped everyone who called him a thug and a criminal after reading headlines needs to apologize, imo.

And i repeat If he is cleared to me he shouldn't be handed the starting slot on the depth chart, especially after missing virtual meetings. He starts the year as a backup behind Ballentine or Beal and has to work his ass off beating that person out to start..

"The witnesses who informed police that Baker, 22, participated in the alleged robbery subsequently changed their stories to exonerate him, according to Patel." I wish I was one of those witnesses, I could use the money!

Good for him. For us, we still have the same guy....not so good. Ha! This got a chuckle out of me......yup he's still the same unfocused, undisciplined and borderline lazy football player they had last year.....hoping Judge can change that.

Great news but like others have said he needs to step up and become an NFL player so maybe something as dramatic as this will cause that to happen.

Wait till he sees the playbook. He might want to take his chances with the judicial system over learning the playbook.

Ah, you mean he will bother to show up for meetings and stay awake in the ones he manages to attend. Perhaps this is setting the bar to high? Maybe he can still skip some meetings if the Giants agree to provide shots of espresso and a PlayStation so he can play Madden during team meetings, lol.... All joking aside, I really hope this kid can get his shit together since it would only make the Giants a better team...

I certainly hope all of the accusations turn out to be false. Besides it being better for the team, it also means that a young man wasn't so foolish to do such a crazy thing. Which, in my mind, is good.
It would also be disheartening to think that a group of people would conspire in such a way against Baker and that MIA player.

That would really be great wouldn't it? Yes, that's why it's out of the question. After all, we are the Giants.

That would really be great wouldn't it? Yes, that's why it's out of the question. After all, we are the Giants. I always have this tug of war between my instincts about people's ability to change their hard wiring versus my optimism that anything is possible. It is really hard to be something you are not. If you don't have the determination and will to be the best at your trade, willingness to make the sacrifices in the film room, weight room etc (and I believe it is something we are born with) I have a low degree of confidence that an event, no matter how shocking can change that predisposition. On the other hand, if he can somehow fulfill the expectation of a first round DB, an area of continuing need for us, wouldn't that be magnificent? It is off season and so I will fall on the side of optimism.
