I absolutely love the cult of personality schtick the media sells. Yeah, whatever team gets him is automatically in pole position for a championship. Except for the team he’s on now apparently. There is a difference between making your team a SB contender and being a SB champion. Rodgers unequivocally makes the Packers a SB contender every year. They will be again next season, unless he wasnt on the team then GB would probably be a bad team. He would do the same for the Giants and many other teams that arent currently contenders. Winning it is a lot tougher obviously. You need a lot of luck. Do you think Rodgers held the team back from winning more championships? Or that he propelled them into a better chance to do so by being their QB? He is one of the greatest QBs I have seen, I know that. He might be a dick, but he is a top 10 QB all time IMO. Neither. I think Rodgers is a great QB that has the proven ability to take a very good team to a championship. Nothing more and nothing less. I agree with the opinion that he's a top 10 QB of all time. For what that's worth to the GB Fans.

It's not ideal obviously, but this OL should be much better. Rodgers played with many bad OLs in GB too. I trust Rodgers much more than Jones at this point even with a bad OL.

I trust him more too; he's a great QB. I just don't understand the point of delaying the development of the future of the team for no reason.

He would make us an easy playoff contender IMO. From there who knows what happens. Maybe the defense clicks. Maybe the OL gels. And we have a superstar HOF elite QB at the helm. Obviously this would never happen and is just hypothetical, but I dont know how someone wouldnt want to have 2020 Aaron Rodgers on the team.

Because I want the Giants team to improve in a complete and comprehensive way. Bringing him to NY accomplishes nothing and materially hurts that development. I guess it's because I don't buy the idea that he makes the Giants an easy playoff contender and even if they did get into the playoffs I can't make the illogical leap to the idea that the Giants would advance in the playoffs in any meaningful way.

How easily we forget 2007 when we were "the worst team in the playoffs". Just punch your ticket and get hot. You never know. I dont think we are an Aaron Rosgers away either, but never turn down a year with an all time great still killing it.

The problem with that theory is that Rodgers has never done that in his career ever. To me that would be a wasted year.
