Why is he still unemployed in the NFL?
An NFL General Manager gig is a plumb job for very select people.
JR held that post here for over a decade and was witness to a couple of SB wins in the process.
Why then is he on the outside looking in with Jim Fassell and Ray Handley?

That’s a fair question. I have wondered that myself. The Raiders were interested, and Reese turned down the interview. Either, he’s waiting for the perfect job, or he enjoys being with his family. It’s not like he’s worried about paying the electric bill. He had some rough drafts at the end, but there were a time he found some very good players.
As for Ray Handley, he’s in witness protection. No doubt about it. It’s like the government changed his name and gave him a mustache. No one has seen him since Black Friday 27 years ago.

Coughlin should have never been fired. Reese was the problem and this team is still suffering the bad drafts he did. There were too many holes in this roster for anyone to fix quickly. We still have a few holes to plug and we still have very little depth. That is all on Reese and his stupidity in the drafts.

It’s all Gettlemans team now. 53 players on a team, 4 of them were drafted by Reese. Still blaming Reese is over now, it’s time to blame our current general manager.

No this is still part of the aftermath of Reese and his imbecilic drafting. Why are all Reese's players gone or not even in the NFL anymore? The mess he left this team in was disgusting and it will take another year just to get this team in a postion to have a few quality backups. Look what the injury to Barkley alone did to this team because we have NO DEPTH. You cant worry about depth at this time though because of the other hole that are being filled just to get a viable starter on the field. This team has been playing with PS Players for 5 years now because of Reese. He set this team back 8 to ten years with overpaid FA's and Bad Drafts in which led to Overpaid FA's. You cant fix that quickly it take time and because of the state of the roster this is taking a lot more time than it should have had we had young quality players in the background we wouldnt be in this predicament

Absolutely not. Gettleman has turned this roster over not once, but twice. Gettlemans fingerprints is all over this team. Reese left us in the shitter, but come on. He’s gone now. Want to blame Eli Manning too? He just retired, and he kind of sucked at the tail end of his career.

Yes he has and if there were any other FA's that would have improved the roster without breaking the bank hew would have signed them. He signed the best possible FA's to improve the roster. No one else was available. Why did he have to do that? Because of REESE's BAD DRAFTS thats why. We had no one that was any good, or Reese overpaid them with bad contracts. This team now has Cap Space and isnt strapped to have to redo contracts just to sign another high dollar overpaid FA. Yes it is on Reese

I’m surprised he’s not employed, in some capacity, somewhere. He must be enjoying his time away and is probably contemplating business outside of the NFL. It’s not a cult or a gang, you can walk away and say “I’ve had enough, what else would I like to do?”
