Its not wrong but its also not right. Its an opinion piece without substance. Jones looked bad and played worse on Sunday, he actually reminded me of Dave Brown. He can throw a deep ball straight but cant deliver a 5 yard slant to save his life. Im hoping he can overcome this slump he is in, but, only time will tell.
His pocket presence although there isn't much of a pocket is non existent and his decision making is for naught. He is also staring down receivers more so now than in the past. He himself is not looking good and if he doesn't improve he will not be long for the NFL

It’s probably true, but no matter as the Giants will get Trevor Lawrence.

Only thing I really disagreed with was the fact he wasn't taken at 6 overall to be an elite talent, yes he was. That's what guys who get taken overall are supposed to be. There's a lot of wiggle room within that of course. So he needs to demonstrate that, and he needs help, a lot of it. Because it's hard to demonstrate elite talent in ways that are easily understood if you have nothing around you on your team.

His accuracy overall is easily one of his best qualities.

Eli Manning was not a good QB his first full season as a starter. I recall him having one of the lowest QB ratings in postseason history in their playoff debacle that year against the Panthers. Schwartz is twisting history. It wasn't until late into his 4th season that Manning approached competence and any kind of acceptance from fans and media.

I went to one Giants game at the stadium in 2007. It was the Minnesota game. Pretty much Eli's worst game of his life up to that point. We walked out of the stadium thinking that we were seeing the beginning of the end. We all know what transpired after that...

Thats the whole point. Eli had a run game gaining 4.7 yards per carry to work from. Plax, Toomer and Shockey and an established oline. Just what a young QB needs.

Now that my opinions are in the form of an accredited writer let’s see how the board’s opinion changes.. lol You don't want to go hanging your hat on the Paul Schwartz peg. Especially when he's nor telling any football fan anything they don't already know. As per usual.

Lets get back to playing hard nosed 60 min of football , establish the run , we will look for mental toughness, command of the offense, ok . I expect the players to be held to a certain standard. I want them to make the most of it from today forward. ok. we will play fast, we will play aggressive with a relentless attitude. I demand that these men give us 100 hundred percent. I want blue collar workers!!!

Article made me look this up.
Yikes. “Giants make playoffs for the first time since 2002!”?
Just 2 bad seasons between, eh? Droughts sure feel relative.
Fun season, though. Great night after that Denver game.

He was resilient however, and as yo yo as his early career was he always had that ability to shake it off week to week. I really think the Shockey injury while looking bad on paper, helped Eli emerge.
