A lot of talk about terrible turf.
Would love for them to go grass. It could be done. It would be a major upgrade to a Stadium that can use it.

It would be different situation than the last time they tried it
Remember they not only had Giants and Jets, but Rutgers, the soccer league,Notre Dame would play a game there every year it seemed against Army...
This time it would just be the 2 tennents and maybe an odd college game
Many NFL grass stadiums have their team and a college share it with no repercussions The linc is a place that has the Eagles,I think either Temple or Villanova, and soccer..there is always at least one significant rain game and that field is never torn up Same with a lot of tbese grass fields these days

The turf at MetLife has done more to opposing offenses than the Giants and Jets defenses.

We should just get rid of the whole stadium and start playing local high school teams .

Did they lay new turf down this year or something? I cant remember this being a problem since this stadium opened.

When things get back to normal there will also be concerts and events like that. Look at tbe Linc A ton of activity and that field is always in good shape even after bad weather

Fix the offense, then the defense, leave the turf alone.

whats the problem with it Too soft? Too much grip? Loose? No one is saying what it is? Met Life is not the only stadium with that turf? Cowboys, Broncos. Seahawks, Patriots, Saints, Texans, Vikings, Steelers, Rams/ Chargers, Lions, Colts, Ravens Texans, Bills , Bengals, Saints, Falcons , LV Raiders and the 49ers all use that black bead turf. www.49ers.com/news/san-francisco-49ers-announce-global-syn-turf-as-official-artificial-turf-partnerThe Met life uses Act Global turf. www.actglobal.com/blog/field-feature-friday-metlife-stadium/www.actglobal.com/american-football-turf.php

The old Giants stadium was grass at one time why not met life. Yes it was and it was crap. They can do it natural grass has changed a ton for playing surfaces. If they can do it in Chicago they can do it in NY, they change the genetic make up.

Possibly the turf blades are too long/deep too. Your feet stick and your knees, ankles, hips rotate.......very bad. Tips of the turf shoes get caught up when landing from jumping etc. Great for cutting routes if you dont get your feet hung up. If thats the case make less grippy and shorten up the grass blades.. Slippery short plastic grass is what the original astro turf was on a cement base. They need a combo of the two.

The turf is not one of them. 1) Over conditioning for strength traning in the off season by personal trainers. 2) Under conditioning for football. Not enough actually playing football. 3) Mussles , Ligiments, Tendons all get memory. They get used do doing one thing when asked to be repetitious . "Gym workouts". Than thare are asked to play "football" . Do somethinfg else , ( cuts, sudden misdirection moves, hits, stuff like that). The responce from the soft tissue is " Wait were not in the Gym anymore in a controlled environment, ouch that is uncomfortable".

Maybe the media overreacted a tad to Judge's comments about popping DJs pads prior to the season ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
