Oh, you mean in 2009 when that was ok? Gotcha He was also overweight at his combines....Nicks ran a 4.5 at his pro day..... The problem with the big guys is that it doesn't take much injury wise to go from "good enough for big plays" to "useless plodding big guy" But this fan base seems to like medocrity as long as the recievers are big bodied and big doesn't necessarily mean good.

Exactly The ideal WR for me is 4.45 ish with top end route running skills and big soft mitts...(because sub 4.4 recievers that have this are unicorns) Top end speed, can threaten every inch of field .... Hight is irrelevant when you have an insane catch radius(going back to Charlie Joiner,to Odell ) Watch Jefferson for the Rams today...... someone on my radar last draft He fits this bill...

I was beating down the door for Denzel Mims out of Baylor in the 2nd round. He’s a unicorn. 6’3 w/ 4.38 speed

On IR so who knows...could be the curse of the Jets ruining his career already Watch what Jefferson does to us later today Smooth as silk route running and good enough speed to do everything

Hakeem Nicks ran a 4.63. Can't say he wasn't fun. Oh, you mean in 2009 when that was ok? Gotcha Are you saying Nicks or Cruz couldn’t play in today’s game? Players haven’t changed that much in 10 years. The best receivers today run 4.4 - 4.5. The same as they did back then.

Oh, you mean in 2009 when that was ok? Gotcha lol ... this post shows a startling lack of football knowledge Hakeem Nicks was phenomenal. WR is not all size/speed. They help but to simply it to this shows very little knowledge

Also, Mack is inactive this week.. That was a wasted thread. Probably insurance and maybe to light a fire under Ratley... Hope to see Tae Crowder on the field as I do believe this is his first active game

They help but to simply it to this shows very little knowledge Nicks is my second favorite Giants receiver of all time, you heard it straight from me and not your assumptions. His "issue " was he was all muscle mass and would retain a lot of water at times... But players like this that have just enough football speed to be dynamic without having top end speed as we saw can disintegrate quickly into irrelevance with one injury.... Same thing happened to Dez, These big bodied guys that aren't top athletes all have this happen..
