Well the Texans, seem to have given up on the season. Looks like they'll be starting their HC and GM search a bit early after an 0-4 start.
Another one of Bill Belichick's pupils bites the dust.

They weren't a rebuilding team and he traded a top WR for no reason other then he didn't want to pay him. Hopkins always played hard and was stable for that position lol.

It was reported that they had a falling out as well. This is why you don't give your HC, GM duties as well, they let their feelings get in the way of making good football decisions. Bill O'Brien was clearly in over his head.

Threw away 2 first round picks to Miami for Tunsil then they paid him knowing he has a degenerative foot/ankle issue that is a ticking time bomb(Miami knew tbis and just ripped off Houston at the right time and might end up with a top 10 pick in addition to their own) Then trade for Cooks who is a nice number 2 when surrounded by talent but cannot carry a passing attack as the lead guy and his salary, giving up more than what they got back for Hopkins..

Just another reason Bill O'Brien was fired.

Im not surprised, I said it when he traded away Hopkins he wasnt long for that job. That team is a good team too, problem is they dont have a #1 receiver anymore. Hopkins took a lot of pressure off the rest of their receiving corp. Without him the other receivers are struggling to get open because at any time any one of them can be doubled teamed. Not one of them can overcome that. I feel for Watson too he is a great QB but the situation he is in without Hopkins makes his job a thousand times harder. His passes have to pretty much be dead nuts with the receivers he has.

...and the first of the 0-4 coaches fired. Are you trying to insinuate something here. Ya know I cant stand passive aggressive people, Say what you want to say, instead of beating arount the bush. Or are you afraid to stand up for what you believe even if it goes against the masses?

He was an awful GM. Bills coaches never work out..... That does seem true. All the former Belichek coaches get the big shot, and all fail miserably. It is clear that Bill runs the show and all the other position and assistant coaches are simply his minions.

Figure George Young wouldn’t know the difference and let him go his way. We’ll never have a shot at him. None of the coaches have his temperament and I think we are going to see Judge fall to the wayside as well. Nobody can be like the old time, tough coaches. This team and this league sucks!

It's amazing how fast the wheels fell off this franchise in less than a year. They had a what, 24-0 lead against the chiefs in the playoffs last season? Talk about down hill fast....crazy.

His record as a head coach was solid...however his ability as a general manager clearly left some things to be desired.

Hopkins was their top talent on Offense and trading him away made no sense to anyone here in Houston, seems to most people here that O'Brien's ego was becoming huge and now he just paid the price for it, unemployed...

Watson is a better QB.....considerably Is he worth 154 million? What has he won? That is the going rate if you think your guy is the Franchise. Danny's second contract would be around there also if the FO deems he is the franchise.

its QBs and the NFL so yes he is. Not sure if the owners of the Texans agree on that. maybe not. But its my guess the owners have a say when it comes to contracts like that.

the media here in Houston say that JJ Watt and Bill OBrien had a big clash on the practice field and right after that OBrien was canned. Watt has huge clout here in Houston and the people in this city love him....Romeo Crennel is the interim coach now and he should do fine...
