Mims was actually my favorite WR prospect. I didn't do a ton of research on WRs, but every time I turned on Baylor, Mims was making plays. I liked him a lot also. Him and Claypool were a couple of my top after 1st round guys in the past draft. Though I can't really complain about picking XM over them with the 2nd round pick. He looked like a mid-late first pick to me prior to the draft. I likely would have picked him there as well. Only spot I can really say I might have gone WR is the 6th over Brown. Any of People-Jones, Proche, Hodgins or Patmon would have interested me there.

I have, but why is that the important question? its a joke cuz the OP had a thread suggesting if you didn't play football you can't have knowledge input on football... That thread is worth every joke that's made about it.. I can't believe someones ego is that shallow that he needed to make this claim..

Yeah I'm surprised by that. I thought he would be starting slot guy by now. He has all the skill to be a great slot wr. Wonder whats holding him back because it isn't his tool bag. Also helps they are loaded at reciever Doesn't change the fact he would be starting here and probably very productive um...fact?

Not really considering who his qb is and the HC.... I’m continuing the initial premise of discussing isolated random unrelated events in a vacuum.

Yeah, as soon as he is playing with a good team. The Jets are trying to trade Quennin Williams now, unbelievable. Maybe we can get him for a 3rd and conditional 4th/5th?

But you didn't answer my question about your thread title. Did his debut make you done with DG? Scroll up a couple comments You know, it would have been quicker just to type "yes" than act like a snarky child. He obviously missed your original post, it does happen from time to time doncha know.

4 catches for 42 yards, no catches in the second half. Eh. To be fair...Darnold is about as bad a QB there is...and in the first half, Sam was in some rhythm ...as soon as Darnold forgot who was playing offense and defense, and was throwing it to the wrong NY team, Mims went silent. He's got a bright future when a Clemson guy will be gunning tight window rockets to him... Geez and I was hard stuck on who the better pick would be Barkley or Darnold in that draft. It is like predicting the future performance of these young players is really hard to do.

However you want to interpret it bro, that’s on you 🤷🏿♂️ I don't know what you could possibly infer from 4 very ordinary catches. Says nothing about Mims. Maybe, but it seems to say a whole lot about Gettleman.

Call me old fashioned but isn’t it hard to be upset with passing on Mims until we at least see McKinney in uniform?

Absolutely; we all have our own perspectives. For the purposes of this discussion I'm loosely defining success as winning. yea I got that I know. Thankfully it remains only important metric in actual football. Theoretical football is a whole different discussion.

Of course you are correct...sort of a captain obvious moment though regarding future playing in the NFL. Mims, was a great receiver at Baylor... great hands, great top speed, and average route running. That's not hard to see. Many of us from GL, Gunner and others have watched most his games, and all his film...he was a must watch guy. Darnold is horrible in his year 3, and I can offer an opinion...hard or not...he is a bust.

Good thing I wasn't asking anyone to jump on board with my pov. How about my pov? Do you disagree? After realizing my pov how can you logically expect me to agree or disagree with yours? Regardless, I respect it.
