Pretty much how I feel. What an awful team this has become. Im actually question whether the 28 year old streak of finishing above .500 stays alive right now.

The team of Ruth and Gehrig, Mantle and Maris has 4 players in the lineup batting under .200. (Rays have nobody under .200).

At least they would be hitting well enough by now with the starting pitching lagging behind. This year, the starting pitching has been really good and these guys can't hit for shit. DJL seems to be the only one not trying to hit the ball out of the park with every swing. Overloading on right handed bats in Yankees stadium is the worst idea ever.

I miss Joe Torre I would take Binder Joe or Billy Martin's corpse at this point. The Yankees need to overhaul their entire analytics department, which includes Boy Blunder (Cashman) and Aaron Boone.

Clint Frazier with the walk off homer and the Yankees win. Happy to see this because to me Frazier has been a massive disappointment this season.

He has also been making some incredible diving catches recently, including one to save the game last night. Speaking of incredible catches, our boy Tauchman robbed Pujols of a walk off HR last night.

Yankees send Mike Ford back to Triple-A After another brutal night at the plate, Mike Ford punched his ticket out of The Bronx. The Yankees optioned Ford to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday following their 5-3 win over the Rays at the Stadium, in which the first baseman went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts. Ford dropped his batting average to .133 with a .561 OPS and 23 strikeouts through 22 games, most recently filling in for the injured Luke Voit. nypost.com/2021/06/02/yankees-send-mike-ford-back-to-triple-a/

LOL, so MLB is now blaming doctored balls for their high strike out rates and are going to crack down on them? How about telling the analytics guys to hit the bricks instead?

Is it World Series or bust this year for Brian Cashman to stay? If they don't get there and win it, it will be a 12 season draught, of not only not winning a championship, but not even winning the pennant. Last time that happened was 1979-1995 for not wining a championship (17 seasons between), and 1982 - 1995 not winning the pennant (14 seasons). Lots changed due to that long draught.
And the thing that makes this draught worse than that one is the fact the Yankees were top 5 in payroll most, if not all of those years, and for a while the #1 spender.
If they get knocked out early this season, which I figure they will, then IMO it is a must we turn the page and bring in some better GM candidates.

I love calling up prospects and seeing what they can do, but honestly, we might be ready for another fire sale come the deadline to load the farm back up. This season looks to be lost

The team just lacks chemistry. They're not the bunch of misfits that came together during the joe Torre years. Boone is just a figurehead of a manager, an actor playing a part, he doesn't have the authentic character required to put them together. Girardi for all his faults was at least authentic.
