Crazy game. Parcells grabbing and screaming at refs in the endzone at the end of the game, LT was at points too. Games seemed a lot more intense back then, glad there is replay these days.

Just another heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. I remember watching this game with my uncle and him screaming profanities and "You can't advance it" all through our house.

I remember this game.
To me, the rule is stupid because you are penalizing the team that did a “better” job of blocking the kick.
By this I mean had the Giants done a “worse job” of blocking the FG then the ball would’ve passed the line of scrimmage and the Eagles couldn’t advance it. But because the Giants made more physical contact on the football instead of partially deflecting it, the Eagles were able to advance it because the effective block didn’t allow the ball to pass the line of scrimmage.
I’m not sure if I’m explaining this well but that play always stuck with me all these years.

I see your "You can't advance it" game and raise you this: That was the worst game ever. Couldn't agree more. Went to the game with 2 friends and scalped 3 tickets 10 minutes before kickoff at less than face value. Whole game was played in a torrential downpour. Bought one of those cheap plastic rain ponchos at the game. Remember Simms getting hurt and the defense giving up a 4th quarter lead late. The range of emotions in those 10 seconds from thinking they had lost, to elation when kick was blocked to a heart wrenching WTF when the TD was scored. I remember being soaked from head to toe and don't think I was completely dry until Tuesday. As for the disappointment of the loss it took much longer. Amazingly enough I also was at the season ending game against the Jets when Al Toon scored TD to keep us out of the playoffs. Disappointing season all around.
