Here's a quick article regarding the last 3 drafts It's a simple recap, and includes the writers opinions about certain picks, but I found it interesting to simply see all 3 of the drafts laid out on paper. DG has far more critics than he does fans, but it's hard to dispute he's done a good job in his drafts. In short, over the last 3 years, here are the number of draft picks compared to the number of starters or rotational players: 2018: 6 Draft Picks | 4 Players 2019: 10 Draft Picks | 7 Players 2020: 10 Draft Picks | 4 Players This includes players like Baker and Connelly, as you can't predict injuries and if it weren't for a bogus charge Baker would be our #2 CB. This does not include players like McKinney, Brown, Coughlin or Crowder from 2020. It's either to early to tell, and we can't assume McKinney is a player. All-in-all, that's roughly 15 players we've added over the last 3 years that are long term starters or rotational players. I don't look at other teams drafts as closely as the Giants for obvious reasons, but 15 players out of 26 picks is impressive. If we can continue to stack successful drafts the way we have, it'll go a long way in helping us sustain long term success. www.bigblueview.com/2020/11/20/21575552/assessing-giants-gm-dave-gettleman-draft-decisions-shape-the-franchise

DG has been up and down. He has taken some very good players, but also opened himself up to huge questions on his decision making. He inherited a train wreck, and it's taken until now to see some light at the end of the tunnel, which is pretty long in NFL years. I'm going to say that 3 weeks ago, everyone's opinion would have been a bit more pointed, but the way the team has played, and seemingly improved over the last 2 games gives us hope that we haven't had in quite some time.
Let's see what the last 1/2 of the season brings. If the team continues to ascend, we will see a lot of people jump on the bandwagon.
