What are your thoughts on the 1999 N.Y. Giants?
I have been watching highlights of games from that season.

That’s the year I became a Giants fan for life. I’ll always remember that team.

The year they decided to get out of the dark ages and become a modern NFL offense once they inserted Collins Toomer had his breakout year

Always wondered. How confident were you guys in Kerry leading into 2000? In 1999 his stats were similar to Graham's that season. But I know stats don't always provide context though.
I feel like if that was today we'd have most fans freaking out that they didn't bring in a QB to compete with Kerry for the starting job going into the 2000 season.
If you look up the 1999 NYG on pro football reference you can see all their stats, you'll see what I'm referring to.
I ready know Kerry was a good QB. But it looks like he struggled in 99 when he first came to the team. I started watching during the 2002 season, was 10 at the time.

I surely remember the wait a minute was the 99 season the one leading into the Super Bowl with the Ravens? Or was it the 2000 season and the 2001 Super Bowl? From what I can remember I do believe it's the 99 season in the 2000 Super Bowl and the thing that sticks out with me most is Minnesota was high flying in the NFC playoffs and I mean and there it was just the whole thing the whole talk was about man how are they going to stop Randy Moss and Chris Carter. I tell you I was a little nervous and I didn't think we could do it and when we came out and Ike Hilliard scored that touchdown I believe first or second, and then we ended up shutting them out 41-0 I was like man old man we are ready. And that's Super Bowl we had a chance and when what messed us up is when they called that ticky-tack bullshit holding call on Keith Hamilton and took Jessie Armstead 75 + yard interception return for a touchdown away that right there put a damper on us. We got the kickoff return in the Super Bowl to finally breakthrough Ron Dixon offense to help to have some hopes, and then they returned the favor right back on the very next kickoff and kind of took the wind out of our sails SMH

He's talking about the 1999 Season where the giants went 7-9, Collins first season. Think he started half the season? Graham started the other games.

I thought Toomer and Hilliard were better than they really were. Their Defense shut us down bad.

What are your thoughts on the 1999 N.Y. Giants? I have been watching highlights of games from that season. I was a bit to young to really understand football, nor was I a fan of the game. This is the squad that lost to the Raven in the SB?

I remember the defense, the running back were Tiki and Dayne, the QB was Collins. Were the Wrs Toomer,Hilliard and Jurevicious? I can't recall the recievers.
