How much of a dead money hit will Wentz cause if deleted next year? If its less than biw number in any way then its a no brainer But remember..they will be upwards of 85 million over the cap to begin with next offseason so if it's any more than his salary number next year they are screwed

I cant see this ending well for the Eagles in any possible way.

Still so very surprised why they even put Wentz in this situation to begin with. You sign a guy to a massive extension in 2019 only to draft a QB in round 2. They had to know this was bound to happen.

That his "confidence" level dwindled when they drafted Hurts tells me that Wentz doesn't have the mental toughness you need in your franchise QB. Why they broke the bank for this guy in the 1st place when it was Foles that won em the SB, is beyond me! Teams are so quick to give a QB huge long term $150 million contracts just cuz they won em a div title or 2, it's amazing! How bout leading them to a few championship game & a SB before you dole out all that $$!
McNabb led Philly to 5 NFCCGs & a SB, including 4 straight, he didn't get the type of contract Wentz got & he didn't even lead em to 1 NFCCG!

Triple ouch because there is no way they can absorb that kind of instant hit next year I thought it would be around a 20-25 million dead hit

The problem with philly is the HC .Changing the QB will not save his butt from his fait or fix the issues.

First of all, **** the Eagles. I have no sympathy for what they're going through. Now that I got that out of the way, the Eagles are saddled with a really good QB that they destroyed mentally. He has no weapons outside of TE and that oline is 2013 Giants kind of bad. No matter what happens, there will be a market for Wentz because someone will think that they can fix him by giving him an oline and some weapons.

I’m loving the misery and turmoil down here (near Philly). I hope they suffer for years.

Personally I always thought Foles was the better QB. The guy was great on that super bowl run, and let's not forget how good he was early in his career as well.
But I think Wentz is talented and that it would be browns level stupid to give up on him. Especially with his contact situation. Give him an OL again and he'll go from a bum to a god in 1 week in the sports media world. But I always thought he was over hyped.
