Sunday during the Raven game the Ravens have a backup QB named Tyler Huntley...….
This guy looks like a clone of Lamar Jackson. I swear he actually looked faster on his lone fairly long run. He was their 4th QB hidden on their taxi squad. They didn't want anyone to know about him. But with their 2 backups hurt they had to suit him up.
When the Ravens got way ahead in the 4th qtr and didn't want to risk Jackson they had to play him as their only backup. And WOW ! Now of course this is a very limited role and it was vs Jax who was already beaten down. But as a backup for us ? Just thinkin out loud. Just watch if he plays and he should.
There is a good chance we see this guy if the Ravens blow us out. The talk radio is all a flutter. The odds are the Ravens keep this guy on his rookie contract as their backup next year But...…
Their is speculation of trading this guy. Now my mind wandered and was thinking of a Lamar Jackson type QB on our team, even as a backup to Jones in case were not happy next year. I was just thinking how good he would look in Blue.
If you want watch his highlights, the last 5-6 minutes of the Jax game.

My mind wanders it usually goes in the gutter. Your mind wanders and you’re thinking of potential players for the Giants. I’m looking at his contract. It says he’s making $142,800. Is that a misprint? Not sure why they would trade him when he’s on a 1 year deal. We could sign him after the season, don’t think many teams will be in the Huntley sweepstakes.
He does look like a clone of Jackson.

I think that's what we need as a backup, a super fast and elusive QB that can get first downs with his feet. Our offense calls some decent run plays for the QB. We'd keep defenses guessing. A spot starter for a few games in case of injury where they gameplan for his elusiveness is something I'd have more confidence than Colt AnyGivenSunday McCoy.
