Can somebody explain something to me though because I think I'm missing some context.
Pederson stuck with Wentz the season after Foles won them the SB, until Wentz got hurt again and then Foles finished the season and into the playoffs. The next year they rolled with Wentz again after Foles paid his option to leave. They extended Wentz a few months later in 2019. Wentz was their guy in 2019, took them to the playoffs and then he got the concussion against the Seahawks.
Then this year, they drafted Hurts in the second round which raised eyebrows. From what I read, it was Howie's decision to draft Hurts and Pederson said he was on board with it, I dont think he would say otherwise. Regardless, Wentz was the starter and Hurts saw practically no action. Everyone was calling for weeks to give Hurts playing time because Wentz just wasnt good this season.
In a year that 7 wins won the division, Pederson finally benched Wentz after 3-8-1 start. Hurts did in fat give them a little spark.
So my question is, why was Wentz and Pedersons relationship "fractured"? Wentz was the guy Pederson chose to go with, even when they had Hurts waiting. Now that Pederson is gone, they are saying Wentz has a better chance of staying. Shouldnt Wentz have have a problem with Howie? Maybe Carson is just a big baby Idk.

Pederson is by all accounts a great guy who had very good relationships with his players ... if this is true, the "fracturing" of this relationship says more about Wentz than Pederson.

Thats exactly what I'm seeing more and more. It seemed like Pederson wanted it to work with Wentz until he could no longer justify keeping Wentz the starter without giving Hurts a shot. But now that he's gone, you are more likely to want to stay? Its such a weird situation.

They should have fired their gm instead. Why? Did the GM take Hurts out and put Wally Cleaver in?

Local radio guys in Philly feel the team is in trouble. Who knew going into the season? They were the one team from the NFC East that had the stability of an established coaching staff.

Pretty wild just one year after the fact, both us and WFT are all in on their HCs. In Dallas, I know a lot of people want McCarthy gone already and Phili is without a HC. Did NOT see that coming.
