I just ran into this article that has PFF's final summary of the NY Giants Offensive line rankings but it is taken out of context and completely ignores the vast improvement of Andrew Thomas over the last few games of the season. I can see why PFF can leave a bad taste in peoples mouths when it appears that their articles are written by stat compilers that don't even watch the games or look at trends. Everything they said about Thomas could be accurate but it definitely doesn't tell the whole story or how the story ended. How many people who actually watch the games and saw Thomas's performance towards the end of the year would draw the same conclusion? www.pff.com/news/nfl-final-2020-offensive-line-rankings

Oh boy, here we go again... I see. You agree with PFF's final assessment of Andrew Thomas and don't believe Thomas was the right choice because he struggled in the first half of the season? Also, I did say I have used PFF rankings in the past and actually like their stats. Not a hater at all....

It's really impossible for them to not watch the games.

It's really impossible for them to not watch the games. Do you agree with their assessment? Thomas looked really good towards the end of the season. Perhaps this was just a half assed article? Also, why the hell was this moved? I guess Andrew Thomas and the Giants Oline shouldn't be on the main board? WTF?

A decent 3 game stretch doesn't erase the other 13 games.

Clearly Thomas is meant to be a WR, just ask PFF.
Anyway, some people here absolutely love PFF (because they are paid to) and some people absolutely hate PFF. Most people fall in the middle some place and like PFF for the stats and analysis but dislike the grades. It appears OP that you are in group 3 which is the majority.

There is no way in hell the Giants offense line was the second worst. It's almost as if this ranking was done at week 7.
And I seriously doubt the Giants regret taking Thomas at this point. Even Flemming wasn't awful by the end of the season.

Even Flemming wasn't awful by the end of the season. They gave up 50 sacks on the year. That’s tied for 2nd in the league. No matter how you analyze it, that falls under the category of shit. They showed progression as the year unfolded. But, they have a lot of work to do. 50 sacks.. I’m starting to think that getaway to Miami they had should have taken a detour through the Bermuda Triangle.

You don't believe in progression and improvement in rookies? The Giants made the wrong choice with Thomas and that's that? If that's the case, the Giants should continue with drafting Oline, right?

No, I believe in progression and think a rookie can get better in year 2. He had ankle issues all season that know one outside of the organization knew about. That played a major role in his struggles. But, aside from that it doesn't take away from the fact that our OL was terrible most of the year.
