Lol how many of you guys forgot he actually has a SB ring with us lol? I just saw a post on fb where the title was " Is it just me or does everytime I see Spags on the sidelines it makes me wish he was still here". Btw my response to the post was " Nope count me in. I love Graham though and not sure I'd trade him for Spags right now lol" .

I like Graham too, but keep in mind 2 things. 1) The Miami D improved while losing him(part of reason being what I'll state in # 2, 2) We significantly upgraded the talent on D that Graham was handed over Bettcher. They spent a ton of money on Williams, Martinez, Bradberry, and Ryan. Had Lawrence in Year 2.
The player I give Graham's scheme the most credit for is Peppers. He seemed to be thinking way less and playing fast, which is his game. However new coordinators when given a ton of new toys the previous guy did not have often become quick geniuses. The guys we signed are the # 1, 2, and 3 reasons the D improved so much.

Perry Fewell coordinated 2 good regular season defenses with the Giants and engineered a great playoff run in another. All in all, had a good run here.

He really did rise to the occasion for that superbowl run. Came up with some brilliant game plans. To the OP, I'm glad that we have Graham at this juncture, excited to see what he can do in year 2.

Hmmm... Martinez, Williams, Bradberry and Peppers just so happened to have career seasons in Graham's system... Not to mention the young guys weren't running around like chickens with their heads cut off like they were under Bettcher.. Nah... I'd have to disagree. Graham deserves a TON of credit.

Unfortunately if the Giants have a good defense next year he will likely get scooped up by some team looking for a head coach the following year.

Isnβt Fewell the one who implemented the nascar package? And also the 3 safety set with Phillips, Grant and Rolle? He was a feast or fathom defensive coordinator. We would have games where we dominate the opponent. And other games where the opponent has their way with us. His defense got extremely hot at the right time in our super bowl run.

Not to mention the young guys weren't running around like chickens with their heads cut off like they were under Bettcher.. Nah... I'd have to disagree. Graham deserves a TON of credit. Martinez & Bradberry had seasons perfectly in line with what we paid them to do. Martinez stats were almost identical to what he did for GB in 2019. And Bradberry is a corner, one we let live on an island. He was not aided by scheme, he was left to his own abilities and he has a lot of ability. Williams had a career year for sure, but he also faced a # of backup Olines and loaded up his sack total in those games. Final Dallas game being the last example. Cowboys had an Oline signed off various practice squads, Williams had 3 sacks. At the end of the day Graham not only had much more talent on D than Bettcher had. And on top of their talent Ryan and Martinez are smart and can spot things presnap to adjust the D and get guys lined up correctly.
