Not sure people realize that he was a Giants coach and responsible for getting Harry Carson to switch positions from the Dline to linebacker.

Marty was great for football. He knew how to win, he had a huge personality and brought a unique perspective to football and life in general. He was an iconic football coach and a fine human being.
A life well lived.

Marty was great for football. He knew how to win, he had a huge personality and brought a unique perspective to football and life in general. He was an iconic football coach and a fine human being. A life well lived. Certainly the years he spent on earth were seemingly good. With that said he was only 77 and Alzheimer's disease robbed him of some or all of his Life well lived. A damn shame

Great head coach who will be sorely missed. He led 3 different franchises to the playoffs. He has won 10 or more games 11 times. The 10 years in Kansas City he had one losing season.
As Rosey stated, he’s the brains behind moving Harry Carson to the Mike linebacker position. The man lived, and breathed football.
Rest In Peace Marty. You were one of a kind head coach..

What a scumbag title. The man has passed and the author is pissing on his grave. Who gives a shit about his post season record? Every fan knows that was his Achilles heel, talk about the wrong time to bring that up. That author should be ashamed of himself, gutless prick..

Pretty disgusting our Nation's Capital newspaper would print this headline for after he passed away. 327 regular-season wins, 13 post-season appearances. ..but with what the fake news is up to lately it doesn't surprise me.

I remember when his team won like 14 games and he was fired(Chargers?). I enjoyed an NFL films piece that showed him in the draft room when he was with the Chiefs. RIP Marty, and lets pray the researchers make progress with Alzheimer's--which is terrible for not only the afflicted but those around them.
