Hopefully the Eagles REGRET that move for a decade or so.

Not a bad move for both parties. The Eagles desperately wanted to trade him, and took the best offer. Hard to unload on a quarterback with a huge salary. They Colts got their quarterback, and didn’t have to give up the farm to do so.

The way the Eagles handled Wentz since the Super Bowl win has been astoundingly poor. Hurts showed potential but man not having to worry about Wentz any longer as a Giants fan feels like a relief to me.

So who eats the dead money? There was something the colts might take 10 mill leaving the Eagles with 24 mill not sure if this is true or not.

I have no idea how they get out of this one While many cuts they can make are basicly older players...I Don't even know where they begin They can conceivably cut players and keep adding dead cap and never produce enough cap space. Fletcher Cox 21 in dead cap . If cut produces 2.8in cap space Brandon Graham 17.2 ln dead cap. If cut produces 600 thousand in cap space. Brandon Brooks 13in dead cap. If cut produces 1.5 in cap space. Zack Ertz 7.8in dead cap. If cut produces 5.2 in cap space. Deshaun Jackson 5.8 in dead cap. If cut produces 5.1in cap space. Isaac. Saumalo 4.8 in dead cap. If cut produce 1.2 in cap space. They cannot produce enough money. Only 21.5 and adds 35 in dead cap Everyone else is insignificant or produces -cap space.

34 million cap hit in 2021 So how the hell are the Eagles going to field a team? They are $50.5M over the cap and their top 6 paid players would have more dead cap than cap hit if they cut them? The Eagles are going to have to tank hard in 2021, they won't even be able to field a team, lol.... www.spotrac.com/nfl/philadelphia-eagles/cap/

To think an NFL franchise can’t sign their draft picks is ridiculous. They knew the ramifications in dead money when they traded Wentz I’m sure they have a plan to get their cap back in place. Reason I say this is because of Jeffrey Lurie. He’s one of the better owners in the sport. To think he was asleep at the wheel with his team in regards to the cap is unlike him. But hey, let’s quit talking about it. Let’s hope they are doomed till the end of time.

Maybe allow them to borrow from their future caps? I think this. The NFL itself is to blame. Allowing teams to kick the can is a problem .Maybe placing hard caps on how much money a team can push into the future.

The Colts were a QB away from dethroning the Chiefs. They have one of the best offensive lines in the league, they have a solid defense, and are well coached by Frank Reich. Besides the Chiefs and Bills the Colts are right in the mix with the top teams in the AFC. The Colts are exactly how I wanted the Giants to rebuild their team. We forget, they lost one of the best players in the sport in Andrew Luck to retirement. That alone should have put them back a couple of years. Instead, they move forward and continue to win. Well run organization.

Yes, that's right, they were exposed and lost 2 draft picks in the early 2000's I think. I just don't understand how its possible for the Eagles to get under the cap. Their highest paid players have more dead cap then cap hit. They are going to have to restructure and extend almost everyone. They can only cut a few players and it isn't enough....

The crazy part of this is I don't even think that they would be under the cap even if they cut every player they could. They would still be over the cap, let alone their draft picks. I've never seen a team is such a bad cap spot as the Eagles are this season...

Pretty sure you can borrow from future years was negotiated into this past season’s deal in anticipation of the drop.
