Well, I didn't think there were many scenarios that would leave me upset, but Mike Tannenbaum found one.
According to Mike T., the Giants will pass on players like Kyle Pitts, Devonta Smith, and AVT, and will draft Azeez Ojulari (Edge - UGA) at #11. I'm sure Azeez is a nice player, but if this scenario played out I'll need to buy a new TV because I will throw my remote through it. Pitts and Smith look to be potential unicorns, and AVT offers the versatility our OL needs.
I hope this fool Mike T. didn't put some bad juju in the air.

I can understand the concept, but if you just traded away future draft capital for Darnold why not surround him with weapons and give him some help?

Darnold is 5 million. Bridgewater Is 18 has 20 million in dead cap. The are going to Draft a QB @ 4 million If Rhule does this. He is a an idiot

unless we trade down, I will not be pleased if we take any defensive player.

Again, I get the thought process and the concept in certain scenarios, but I don't think this is one of those scenarios. Not to talk Panthers, but they need to fix the OL and give Darnold time to throw. If he doesn't work out, draft a QB in a year or two.

unless we trade down, I will not be pleased if we take any defensive player. While I prefer offense in Rd1 this year, I'd be stoked with Parsons or Surtain. I think both would have an immediate impact on the field. I'm always a fan of trading down, though. Unless Chase, Pitts, or Smith....maybe Waddle....fall to us at #11 trading down might be the best scenario for us. I can see it happening if Fields or Jones falls to us. At this point, I've decided to remove Parsons supposed off-field issues when considering my "big board." As someone else mentioned in another thread, it's on the Team to figure out if there's an ounce of truth to the speculations, not mine. If there is any truth to them, he doesn't just fall out of the first round, he falls completely off the board. All I can do from my couch is watch some of his highlights. From what I see he'd be a fantastic fit in our defense.

I actually just put Collins on my big board this weekend. I had him has a Rd2/Rd3 based on the sites I saw, but someone else mentioned he was going to go mid-Rd1. I'd be just fine with Collins, on paper they do seem very similar.

Daniel Jeremiah has us Smith bound at 11...both tackles, Sewell and Slater gone. Interesting that he had both Waddle and Smith available ...Waddle fell a bit. Tough choice with Waddle and Smith...

I honestly don't think there would be a bad choice between the 2 Someone posted that Smith was indeed a track star in HS so this corresponds to the eyeball test of him looking like playing at a different speed than the defense even though any knowledge of his 40 time is like Bigfoot sigbgings.. I suspect a 4.43 or something.. That with his 99.9% route running ability and post catch ability =ODB type production I actually saw a more fitting comparison to Smith Issac Bruce... Yeah I'll take that as a Y opposite Golladay that can be moved around like a chess piece every day of the week if this is what we do

I would pick Chase over either, but think he'll be the first off the boards.

Listening to guy from Landryfootball.com on the Chuck Oliver show.
He says theres 54 players with 2nd round grades. So many teams picking deep into the 3rd including the giants will be getting a good 2nd round type player
He went on futher to say that its a deep draft and picking in 7th will be many guys with 4th round grades

I don't think they'll draft a QB, so I believe Bridgewater will remain on the roster and, if anything, will be traded later in the year when a playoff contending team's QB goes down with injury.

If 54 players have a 2nd grade and 7th Rounders have 4th Round grades guess what? There will be many teams trading back. And when they don’t, grade his perceptions 😂

I was actually going to start a thread to see who folks would want between Waddle and Smith. When it comes to the Big4, Waddle has been at the bottom of my list all off-season. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact there are so many examples of speed reliant WR's flopping in the NFL. The fact he's speed reliant coming off a serious ankle injury makes it all the more concerning for me. That said, the idea of having Waddle's speed on our offense to stretch the defense and compliment Barkley is really exciting.....in concept.

Some of you are really going to be disappointed come draft day when we trade back to 15 and take Kwitty Paye. Should make for some entertaining reading.

I'd be completely content drafting him.

We could go Smith in the first, then take Tutu Atwell in the second...145-151 pounds playing weight...create more religion and faith among Giant fans as we learn to pray after every crossing pattern catch...kneeling a Tebow for no cheerleaders on the sideline to hurt our slim Jim's in unexpected collisions. 150 pounds and 165 pounds....and we still don't have a 320 pound offensive guard for the right side.

The fact you mentioned Slim Jim's is hilarious to me. My father worked with a snacking company back in his day, and one of their many products was Slim Jim's. I used to eat them by the pound.

In a really evil scenario where each of the big 3 WR's are gone, as well as Pitts, Slater and one or two other O Linemen, I would want to trade down, over any of the defensive players on the board. Parsons could be a very good player, but that off the field stuff scares me, and after signing Jackson, PS II would be a luxury pick. I'm also not a big fan of the pool of edge prospects this year, poorest that I can remember.
