Daniel Jeremiah has us Smith bound at 11...both tackles, Sewell and Slater gone. Interesting that he had both Waddle and Smith available ...Waddle fell a bit. Tough choice with Waddle and Smith... The thing that makes me sick about that is the one we don't pick could very well end up in Philly. I personally think Smith is the best WR in the class and have thought that all year. Not changing now. I wouldn't complain about any of the big three though.

Some of you are really going to be disappointed come draft day when we trade back to 15 and take Kwitty Paye. Should make for some entertaining reading. I actually would be ok with that if we picked up at least another second rounder. I would be bummed if we took an Edge at 11 though ... just don't see how an Edge could be the BPA at that spot I would hate to trade out of 11 unless we get a 1st rounder in return. The big issue for me is that the Eagles pick right after us. Imagine if Devonta Smith is on the board, we trade back and the Eagles take him. I'd puke.
I don't mind Paye, especially at 15 but I'm not sure a 2nd is worth it at the cost of the Eagles getting a better player. That is my #1 reason for not wanting a trade back.

They are going to get a good player at 12 no matter what. Giants need to worry about thier own needs.

I don't think the Eagles are a lock to get a good player no matter what at 12 but mostly I just don't want them to get the player I want mean while we trade back for some lower tier player. The Cowboys for years have taken a player in the draft I wanted and it kills me to see them running around out there killing it.

Has one of these analytics companies don't research on whether trade downs (or ups) have worked out for teams? That would be very interesting to see.

unless we trade down, I will not be pleased if we take any defensive player. While I prefer offense in Rd1 this year, I'd be stoked with Parsons or Surtain. I think both would have an immediate impact on the field. I'm always a fan of trading down, though. Unless Chase, Pitts, or Smith....maybe Waddle....fall to us at #11 trading down might be the best scenario for us. I can see it happening if Fields or Jones falls to us. At this point, I've decided to remove Parsons supposed off-field issues when considering my "big board." As someone else mentioned in another thread, it's on the Team to figure out if there's an ounce of truth to the speculations, not mine. If there is any truth to them, he doesn't just fall out of the first round, he falls completely off the board. All I can do from my couch is watch some of his highlights. From what I see he'd be a fantastic fit in our defense. I like Parsons too but his off field behavior is hard to over look..
