At 11 would you be upset? A week ago, I might say yes, however I'm starting to warm up to him more as a prospect. I think there will most likely be more "BPA" on the board at 11, but this is a weird off the wall pick I can see the giants making.. Some analysts project him late 1st to early 2nd and that's probably about right considering his history, but idk, he's def got the skills to be a good edge.

He is a mid to late 2nd . Even then a risk. Here is the thing I have with him . He retired from football because of injuries. How committed is he? You got to assume, He'll do it again if he gets an in grown toenail. To me this guy screams; I need some quick money and a football contract is the easiest way to get that. . This is the worst top of the draft Edge rusher class in years. This who I like in the mid to later rounds tv5.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4243916/patrick-johnsonHe is a natural OLB; that can get to QB , Make tackles , And cover his zone assignments when called to.

Yes. He is going to spend his career in concussion protocol and then quit.

Yeah, I agree with this. Ultimately, I see a ton of talent, but end of the day there's just to many red flags. I think he can be the best edge in the draft if all of those things like concussions etc don't come into play in the NFL, but they likely will.

Yes, at least initially.
That said, Phillips is one of two DE/Edge players I'd ultimately be OK with. I just think there are better options at 11.

I think Phillips is the best edge of the class. It's those damn concussions he's had. Still think he has excellent chance from #24 (Pitt, should go offense OL or RB. But might want to replace Dupree.) to early 2nd rd.
He could go as early as the late teens.

Yes, if we draft ANY pass rusher in the 1st I won't be happy

This is what Reese used to do. Pick some off the wall dude like Odell Beckham or Eli Apple. Sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. I would probably be upset because there are probably better players on the board.
Overall at 11 I think we need to take less of a risk than he presents. There are probably 10-12 prospects at least that I prefer over him. He is "rising" in some mocks though.

I think he'll be around in round 2 maybe even 3.. to many injuries I don't think he drops to the 3rd rd. If we went OL in the 1st rd and he was there in the 2nd rd when we pick I'd go with him in a heart beat.
