If you're set on going home after the game, park as close to the exit as you can and point your car in the direction of the exit. And run to your car because 5 minutes can add an hour to your departure time, no joke. Everything you said is correct but it just ins't worth it. I've done that before and beat the traffic and then another time did the same thing and got stuck in gridlock. After that, I just stick around, eat some food and bull crap with people.

That is really the best plan. Enjoy the game, savor what you paid for and let the madness settle down. Just leave at leans an extra hour to the trip home.

Hey folks. I hope all is well. Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong spot. Someone set me straight if so. It's been a long time since I've driven down to Metlife to see a game live. I'm thinking of going to a live game this season. I am trying to get a sense of what the traffic situation is leaving the stadium on game day. My memory suggests that it's a shit show. Is that still the case? I'm debating if I want to drive back to Rhode Island as soon as the game is over or if I should just crash with my friends (in Brooklyn). So I'm wondering a couple of things... If I jump in the car as soon as the game is over, what is a realistic time element for me to be out of the stadium and back on I-95? What's the best bet for public transportation between Met Life and Brooklyn? Thanks in advance. it's usually an hour worst case scenario. I actually don't mind it I can kind of just relax and listen to the post game
