Steelers are coming up hot on us the past decade.
Also, this chart should have an average wins per season stat since not all the teams are the same age.

It's hard to believe the Lions and Cardinals are that high on the list

Awh that would make the top teams not look so good. We don't want an equal playing field. Lets just go with were 1 of the 3 teams with over 700 wins. Now that sounds good. Actually though we are 3rd in the league out of the top 10 or so teams that have been around forever also.

is it only NFL games or does it include the old AFL games for those teams?

Amount of wins is an ambiguous stat. To get a factual aspect to what that win total is saying. It needs to be known the amount of games played compared to Win-tie-loss totals

Problem with average is there used to be a lot less games. I got a formula for that: (Total Wins/Total Games Played) * 16 = average games won per 16 game season.

shouldn’t the ‘original’ Browns total (before they moved to Baltimore) be added to the Ravens ? And the Browns total should be the ‘new’ Browns ?

From the strain on your eyes looking at this chart.

What an interesting list to think about. Thanks for posting it. Many thoughts cross my mind including:
1.) Well, of course the teams who have been around the longest have the most wins. 2.) Wow, the Jets really suck. 3.) The Bears have been rubbish most of my adult life, they must have had some dominant stretches back in the day. 4.) I hate the Patriots 5.) Could we ever be number 1? I mean, sure we could. But could it happen in my lifetime? Doubtful. We'd have to surpass Chicago and Green Bay by a couple of wins every year for like the next forty years, not to mention keep Pittsburgh at bay.

A century of mediocrity with a sprinkle of success. Last time they won a championship, Babe Ruth was still alive.

Another aspect of course is who your division opponents are.
No doubt the Patriots have benefited from the Jets, Bills, and Dolphins being down for so long, while the NFC East has long time been a strong division.

They used to burn us on the ground like Kentucky fried chicken. Good times! (I drank a lot then)

I hated O.J. and then loved him. How fickle of me.

When the Giants traded for him in ‘86. He led all active backs in rushing yards against the Giants. Knowing Parcells, he probably thought if you can’t beat him, trade for him.

Parcells knew what to do. He couldn't stop him so he hired him. We needed that philosophy even earlier on. In the 1970's we would have had to trade for most players on other teams. Bad era for the most part. I think only 2 winning season in 10 yrs. The player I hated the most though and there were many was Harold Carmichael WR (Eagles) 6' 8"" WTF!! It just wasn't fair.

No. The Browns are still the same franchise because they are owned by Cleveland, which is why they had to change their name when they moved unlike the Cardinals, Chiefs, Raiders, Rams ect.

I'd like to see this stat from 20 years ago. The Pats would have about 200 wins lmao.
I don't see us catching anyone in front of us or being caught by anyone behind us any time in my life time (another 40 years hopefully).
