Don't know anything about what happened. So I'm not taking a side here. But imo Richard Sherman has always been a loose cannon. We'll see what happened. Not a good few weeks on off the field incidents for some NFL vets.

He was denied Bail . He is accused of something that made the Judge believe he was a risk to public safety.

This situation sounds really strange, I've heard some odd things on tv this morning. I'm going to try my best to hold judgement until I hear more.
Bad day for the NFL between this and the Haskins incident.

He was denied Bail . He is accused of something that made the Judge believe he was a risk to public safety. That's not why he was denied bail. He was denied bail because it is their policy in that state that no bail is granted until you see the judge. His crime fell on a weekend, hence no immediate bail.

So something popped on my newsfeed about Sherman being weird for a few months. Depression, drinking a lot and talk of suicide.. Sounds like if this is true that he snapped This is apparently what the statement put out by the ex wife said. Sherman supposedly drank 2 bottles of liquor and went over her house. Wrestled with an uncle and was threatening to hang himself. He didn't hurt anyone. The wife was emphatic about that. Her, the kids, the uncle, nobody. He was arrested around 6am don't know when this all started but 2 bottles of liquor he had to be going from the previous day I would think. Heard all this waiting at the doctors office around 11:30am est. Thursday 7/15. So I'm sure more will follow. I assume their worried he'll hurt himself is why no bail. Hope he can come out of this depression he might just need meds or he stopped taking his meds for some reason. This hopefully can be fixed.

Very weird situation indeed.
To recap this is what I've heard so far:
*In February, Kings County prosecutors obtained an order that barred Richard Sherman from possessing any guns as it was deemed he posed a threat to not only himself, but those around him.
*Richard Sherman has undergone during that timeframe some counseling for being suicidal.
*His wife takes the kids and goes to her parents homes.
*Richard calls his wife and tells her that he wants his kids and that he's coming to pick them up.
*Prior to Richard arriving at his father-in-law's house, he drove into a construction site and totaled his Mercedes as he was intoxicated.
*He walks the rest of the way and has the code to open the door to the house, luckily though there was a latch on the inside that prevented him from entering.
*It took law enforcement 30 minutes to arrive, in that timeframe Richard tries to break the door, he's able to partially get it open, his father-in-law maces him through the opening that he created, temporarily disorientating him.
*The father-in-law also was armed with a handgun and stated that he was ready to use it.
This is the video of Richard Sherman trying to break the door to his father-in-law's house. A lot of credit goes to the father-in-law for showing a tremendous amount of restraint at that moment. Richard may have gotten lucky, if he was able to break that door down he may not be with us today.

From what I've read this is a first for him ,hard liquor and maybe the realization of your career coming to an end are a bad combination. instead of drinking to much he should have just got a job with ESPN.
