One of the reasons I like Joe Judge is that I find him to be most thorough in his discussions about the game. I don't think I've ever heard one of our coaches touch on the assignments of a WR other than pass catching.

Wow, most impressive and true. If you run 60 offensive plays in a game and a receiver has 8 catches for 80-100 yards, that's a good game. What about the other 52 plays? You're right Rosie, never heard a coach talk about WR's blocking other than in a secondary fashion. Judge just basically told the reporters that WR is very important (Primary) in the run game as well.

I don't many people outside of people who break down a lot of film could. I think that would be an interesting thread topic if someone had the time to break down some film.

I recall Shep standing out a couple times on replays. Speaking of Shep, has anyone else noticed how bulked up he is? He looks like he worked hard this past off-season.

As a fan, I like it and clearly his is very bright and thorough. It's really refreshing to hear him give us more than just the typical coach's speak. And it really seems like it's something that just comes natural with him.

He is a major football nerd that has admitted he will talk football to whomever listens Which means his dog probably knows more football than 95% of this board

Absolutely. I know some had trouble looking past the losing in the beginning, but what he was giving us was Gold Jerry. Gold!

I like Judge. I hope they play as well as he talks. Couldn't say it better. But I am intrigued to see this unit play. Getting the itch. I really think we have talent all through this group. I'm thinking were keeping at least 6 WR's.

The WR's weren't very good last year. Blocking is fine, how about catching the ball?
Talk is great. Now go prove something.

I am not one to watch coaches/analysts go over plays from a game but I would watch every week when Giants on Youtube would upload the Joe Judge Report with him breaking down a number of plays. The way he explains and goes into detail is so fascinating and I could instantly see why ownership fell in love with him, aside from that introductory press conference that knocked my socks off.
I'm a huge fan of this guy. Hopefully they can win with him.

Every once in a while we come across someone who is doing exactly what they should be doing, and they truly love it. Joe Judge is that guy. This could be the coach NYG has needed to create sustained culture and success for a very long time. You cannot fake passion, the players would see through it. Judge exudes passion.

LOL nice, what is going to make Judge successful his attention to detail, situational awareness, his people skills he is tough and hard nosed but they trust him and love working hard for the guy, Judge is a winner and will be one here for a long time hopefully.

Judge's passion for this game/team transcends football. This guy has higher aspirations for this team in terms of community involvement as well.
Most coaches call on the fans to simply show up on Sunday while this guy is talking about what this team can do to give the fans a reason to.
This guy is not your typical coach.

I've liked his talk from his first interview after he was hired.
But it's getting past time for the "tell me" and now it's time to "show me".
Will his philosophy translate to wins? 2021 will tell.

So do wins... He’s great with the media, Shurmur and McAdoo weren't, I get it. But the result has been virtually the same. I'll be excited when I see it transfer to the field.
