Good for you! I'm never going to be like that at the professional level of sports.. why not? Pros need to be brought along as well. You see it all the time not much separates the greats from just the good players. So I get the process. I see no reason to shit on Xman at this point. He didnt tear his rotator on purpose. Like all the younger players who are developing I see no need to rule them out and not think they are putting in 100% effort to make in in the NFL. There will be plenty of time to say..."yeah he stunk and couldnt get it done" That's an easy answer. They have to earn it and when a player is going into their 3rd year like he is that hasn't been accomplished so much so that the team is drafting and bringing in players to replace him.. I guess you feel the same way about Beal.. LOL

Pretty much every draft will have an DL, LB, OL (not this year dammit) etc. Xman has a lot to prove as we all know. Lets see if he can do it

Sorry GT but I'm not interested with continuing in this type of discussion after I've already answered you.. You want to praise them all right down to the undrafted players after a couple of years of limited production then by all means do that I want production by then or it's time to move on which is the optic I am seeing with this player..

He played 45% of defensive snaps, but I bet that 45% was like 70+% of passing plays. Can you prove that? Couldn't find stats that broke down pass play vs run play.

He is a 3rd pick . 3rd round picks are not 1st round picks. Or they would go in the 1st. Why I think he deserves more then a half a season of snaps to prove his worth. You don't have to agree but that is the way I see it Your 1st three sentences are never needed to be stated to me at least and if some fan needs to hear that then I feel bad for them.. lol It would be wonderful if all drafted players got more than a half of season of snaps to prove their worth.. This doesn't seem to be the reality of how it works in the NFL and once a team starts drafting players higher at those same positions it's usually game over.. If Xman is playing more than Ojulari does then it will be fun calling out Getty for another bad draft pick.. LOL They are all going to rotate.

They are all going to rotate. How can you be confident claiming this?? Graham likes to rotate his players, It is what he was doing last year. It worked. I don't see him changing that philosophical approach.

Couldn't find stats that broke down pass play vs run play. Why that 4.5 sacks in 45% of the snaps is the only benchmark we have.

I was under the impression most teams rotate their players when they have a bunch of mediocre ones like the Giants did last year. Here's to hope a stud develops who stays on the field wrecking havoc! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!!

Dont think Xman did or would have. How am I "praising" Xman. All I said is that I hope the guy gets it done and I am not counting him out yet. You brought Beal up not me.

When you responded with this I consider it praising.. "I will only have a good attitude for these young guys for now." I can see how that is not accurate on my part.. One more time with Xman = Beal.. Both 3rd rounders with minimal games played along with injuries and now onto their 3rd years. Have a great rest of your Tuesday!

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!! We did rotated Osi Tuck and Strahan. Sometimes Tollefson. Good one! Now you are comparing great players rotating in and out and lets forget about Tolleson who was a better player than either Carter or Xman. I would claim that either of those great players wouldn't be missing too many plays if Golden or Fackrell were on the team instead of the other two.. I think it's a good plan to rotate players to keep them fresh for a series or two throughout the game but it's bad for a team when they are all average at best and the playing time becomes equal. My guess is that Lawrence and Williams will not be rotating much with this same coordinator.. Why?? because the drop off would be too much..

Williams only had 75% of the snaps. Lawrence had 60% . They will move in and out. IMO: They won't stay healthy if they do not.

I liked Tolleson too: Tolly's first two seasons with the NYGs...19 games 25 tackles 3.5 sacks Ximines first two season with the NYGs...20 games 28 tackles 4.5 sacks so Tolly was better in his first two years?

Judge won't need to see what these players are about just like he did with the oline. We will see..

Even Aaron Donald plays ~85% of snaps.

Judge won't need to see what these players are about just like he did with the oline. We will see.. Me I would rather have a bunch of guys light on their feet, than a few fatigued defensive players that are opened to injury. We both played at some level so we are considered "experts" lol by that standard by a few on the site. With the said football is an intensively brutal sport. Rest is going to be a premium now that there is another game. We are looking at up 1200 plays on either side of the ball. At 75%, that is 900 plays , That is a lot of abuse to take. at 60% is upwards of 720 snaps. Williams had 803 snaps last season . In a 17 game season that is around 66% . Add up words of 5 post season games .A team may see 1800 snaps on one or both sides of the ball. IMO: An acceptance of players rotating is going to become the norm for this new paradigm for every team.

Coming off an injury, I don't see how anyone expects improvement. He might hit his stride later in the season.
