A good OC should be able to spread the ball around to the TE's, WR's and RB. I don't think Shepard will suffer due to Engram's talent. If Engram becomes even better it will actually give Shepard more opportunities as teams will double Engram and Beckham. Shepard will benefit from that. His role could be extremely valuable. Teams can't double everyone. : )

if Shurmur is smart he will feature a different receiver based on the strengths and weaknesses of his opponents.
too many receivers to get totally involved in every game. Taylor the game plan to specific players.

Usually my predictions are off.

I feel the same way because we are switching to a 3-4, no shutdown corner and minus a pass rusher since JPP's departure...

I know he didn't have his best year last year but a healthy jenkins is a shut down corner, no? He was all pro in 2016. Last year he was playing hurt and let's be honest, the defense was on the field way too long and I think a lot of fatigue and frustration got the best of a lot of those guys. Maybe that's a knock on jenkins but let's see a motivated janoris playing for a competitive team and I think he's lock down. The depth behind him is the concern. Just my 2 cents

Better at the run but I think losing him was good actually. Hopefully the Giants come up with talent there and the 3 -4 usually the LB's are blitzing for pressure anyway. Was Vernon gonna be converting to LB?

I too am a bit worried about our D, but I would say that Jenkins certainly can be a shutdown corner. Hopefully Apple will start buying in, but that is just hope.

SMH...totally forgot about JJ...yes he could be a shutdown corner...hopefully some of the corners that Getty invited to camp will work out at least for some depth..

No depth in the defensive backfield, need consistent pressure from the front to mask that glaring problem.
