They have 2 weeks to get these players in shape and ready to play week 1. They also won't be dinged up from preseason games. Another plus is opposing teams won't have video to prepare for these players.

Well we will have a chance to see who our other WRs look like, which isn't a bad thing. I hope this is just a precautionary decision, trying to enter the season 100% healthy for those guys.
Our first look at Jones and this OL, should be exciting. I think our back up RBs are decent enough to move the ball if the OL does it's job.

I’m waiting to see a ‘92 Giants offense to open the season. Far too many key players have yet to play a down together this preseason. We’re a notorious slow starting team, which will be tortoise slow with the way things are going. I don’t care what the other teams are doing with their players. Those teams didn’t have the 31st ranked offense last year. are you trying to GL a stroke?

Exactly lol, I expected them to be tested as close to a Regular season type exercise as they can get Judge and BB seemed to challenge both squads during the joint work outs, I have to admit I have bit of anxiety myself. Have to keep in the right place it still is practice just more intense. would dig seeing them score 14/17 in the half. Yes I would be extremely happy with that especially playing with most of their fire power out, it would show the scheme can be fitted to the personnel also tat even with injury they could survive for a short stretch.

No Ross?

I'm curious to see how Ross does out there tonight. And obviously jones and the o-line. Sadly, I don't expect Ross to make it through the season. He's been pretty crystal up to now for his career. If he can stay on the field, with his speed, he could really help out the offense, even if its simply keeping the defense honest.

LOL couldn't have said it better. it seems like the last ten years they have always been starting from scratch on offense even 2016 the offense stunk the defense held teams to 20 or less.

He probably means the 1995 9ffense Both of those teams took years off of Hamptons life. still one of my fav players. The only real football jersey I own and have had since he was a player. I actually saw him in the parking lot at the stadium a few years back and signed the jersey for me.

All signs point to s slow start vs Denver week 1. Chemistry won't be there yet. Looks like we will be going into that game cold even if Golladay, Toney and Bark are ready. Doubt they see much time. This could very well be what we have week 1.
I'm hoping to see Jones move the chains consistently and score at least 1 TD. Things need to ramp up.
Denver is going with Bridgewater who looked like crap yesterday from what I heard. Might be a low scoring week 1.

Do they still have McManus? Our other one that got away? I forget who was the kicker we kept over him at the time?

Was hoping for a different outcome, but can never seem to stay on the field.

By the time we get rolling, we are playing catch up. That bum Hurts isn’t going to last long, and Flacco looked good. I don’t want to have to deal with Philly any more than we have to because as we well know, when we really need a win we don’t get one. And by that time in the season, it’s usually too late to make a difference for us. How many years has our season been over by Halloween? We can’t afford slow starts, and I smell trouble right now as I’m sitting here.

Can you give me the percentage of reports glowing, and those less? I need data man .... more good data on his practice. My supply chain talked about Jones being off a lot...fix me GT...need positives before I can evaluate him myself. its only worth it if you earn it yourself.....lol Such words of wisdom from an old sage…pay attention kids.

I would add
DANIEL JONES

Yeah I'm all for watching those things but seeing how Jones looks is #1. Is the ball crisp? Accurate? Good deep passes. Some touch. That's all that really matters. We will run a vanilla offense against the Pats vanilla defense so individual performance is more important that overall team performance. Soldier at OG should be interesting.

Do we have any idea what exactly is up with Toney and Golladay? These 2 are the "big" additions and we have essentially seen.... ZIP... toney isn’t hurt

He’s not? So what, did his other nut drop? he had COVID and exerting himself in glorified practices will only stunt his body’s recovery process…he will 100% suit up on opening day but usage will depend on gameplan, which I expect (especially til Barkley takes on a full workload) KT to be heavily involved in the run/screen game. Don’t be surprised at all with Him being lined up in the backfield, including wild cat formations at “QB”

Don’t be surprised at all with Him being lined up in the backfield, including wild cat formations at “QB” I don’t think he’s made it through a single full practice at camp, though. I think it’s optimistic (wildly?) that he will be heavily involved with anything on week 1. Same with Golladay and Barkley. I think what we saw yesterday will be what we see in the 12th, minus some tinkering on the OL and the always famous “non-vanilla” playbook. I don’t think the giants are playing chess with those pieces. No smoke screens or cat and mouse strategy. They aren’t 100% physically ready and haven’t practiced together. Hard to see how it won’t be a slow start. I’m not burning my gear yet, either. They’ll rehab and get integrated. I just hope it’s fast and the defense/st have carried us to a few wins.
