Jaguars are already selling the season for better draft picks.

Cowboys at top of division means it's still up for grabs ...theyre not that good.

as always, I watch a lot of games because I have no life and nothing else to do, and perhaps the most disturbing thing about that is one gets a pretty goos gauge of what the giants look like in comparison to the rest of the league, the average to very good teams. and its bad. as much as i cringe while watching us play, when i watch other games, I see a huge gulf between us and most other teams, and it feels even worse. we're slow, we're extremely unaggressive, our timeouts and general game management is just baffling.
another thing going on thats not talked about quite as much that bothers me, we have no urgency at all. the wft game, in the 4th quarter we had the ball down by two scores, and the giants were standing around, that drive about halfway through the 4th quarter, we literally stood around between plays while clock drained from like 7-8 minutes down to like 3, and we barely got any plays off, they sincerely just stood there.
i just dont get it. a head coach coming from saban and belichik, and nowhere in the same universe of relentless scoring aggression.

Chicago's 1st from 2022 was very enticing. They have Martinez signed through 2022 and Tae Crowder(for some reason, I'm kind of high on this kid) looks like he's going to be a solid LB, not Parsons caliber, but solid. Yeah Parsons looks really good, but if they can flip that Chicago pick into a top tier pass rusher, I think the decision to pass on him could turn out to be a good one.

Martinez just blew his knee out. Im high on Crowder as well. Mr Irrelevant thing. He shows promise. I wouldnt compare Parsons to them though. Parsons is much much more talented, and then seeing him on the DL as a rusher, wow. I would have to compare him to Ojulari who we took round 2. If we took Parsons, we wouldnt have taken Ojulari. We also wouldnt have Toney so we have to include him in it as well as the Bears #1 next year. Only time will tell, but right now, we would all be doing backflips watching Parsons in Giants blue rushing the passer.

If Ojulari gets 10 sacks and keeps improving then passing on Parsons looks like a no brainer considering that if things work out Toney is a modern X factor dynamic playmaker with a trade back and what looks like 2 top 10 picks Plus add in its Ojulari and what we get with Miami's 3rd as well In what is shaping up to be an extremely deep and good draft, especially on defense... If we end up with say the 4tb and 8th..and Jones stays the course and resembles a franchise qb in this wretched offense I'm looking at another blue chip o linemen and a beast IDL (there are a few I think could be top 10 prospects) Even Fredo's next sock puppet can't screw that up,right ?

It's been a while since we had a good MLB/ILB, he's going to be missed on the field big time. And you're right, we'd definitely be going crazy over Parson's as an edge rusher. Hopefully he sucks vs the Giants...we can only hope right?

Bengals Jags is intriguing. Only because it's the last 2 #1 overall picks head to head.
Lawrence is on the much crappier team though. The Bengals will probably spank them.

I can't believe how bad Spicoli is struggling in Jax Then again he might already be doomed by a horrible offseason where the one goal was to build a wall and get playmakers for him
Sound familiar?

What's wrong with building a great ol and adding playmakers? Am I misreading what you're trying to say?

Seems like from what I remember they neglected both Maybe there's a "not" missing in your original post? Thought you were saying their goal was to build a wall and add playmakers and that that is a bad goal. That said it looks like they added Marvin Jones, Travis Etienne (ir'd), Carlos Hyde, Phillip Dorsett...so nobody special outside of maybe Etienne who is out this season anyway..They have dj chark and drafted Leviska shenault last year and RB Robinson was a stud last year. I have no idea how good their OL is, but they drafted a kid in the 2nd round this year.

Etienne was not a sound decision as tbey already had a good back in Robinson.. I'm thinking Dannishaw might have still been there ....take him and the guy they got with one of their 2nd round picks(I think it was their early 2nd rounder) There were good WRs left at the back end of the 2nd Some good ones fell to day 3 Should have been 75% O line and receivers ...and going BPA this past draft they could have done this

Jags are like us, but with a much better QB projection. Their OL is weak, and their defense got overrated and cant stop anyone.
They are also a very very bad team.
Lets be real though, rookie QBs almost always struggle. Peyton Manning 27 INTs. Eli looked like garbage. Troy Aikman was 1-15. Ect.

We actually kinda got spoiled a bit with Jones having a great rookie year after Mayfield did and watching Herbert last year when Spicoli was supposed to be the best since Luck

What a motley crew (crue) this is on NFL Network, they are unwatchable. Michael Irvin is such a buffoon, Joe Thomas is a stiff, and then there is the fake Steve Smith lol
The girl is pretty hot, that's about it.

Wow Spicoli has a career qb rating so far that is worse than if he spiked the ball into the ground on every play in his career so far
