Man you ain't ever lie lol. I'm glad I wasn't the only one to notice this BS and buffoonery. I mean I just don't get it; no matter who they change be it coaching or players it seems to be the constant. I guess we need to blame the one thing that doesn't change and that's Mara lol. Is he telling whoever comes in that " This will be the philosopy"............... Thus the Garrett conspiracy theory Mara is a goober He has very rich goober season ticled owners They want a goober style team to cater to these people stuck in the 70s It's the only thing I can come up with for why this offense is so behind the times
There's no question that John Mara increased the value of his team tremendously, but he did so at the expense of the Giants never playing to a sold-out home stadium since this move.

Maybe Denver is going to be better than people thought?
Their offense looked pretty damn good with Teddy in there. They just wore our defense down.
Of course when Shurmur and Shula were running our offense, we never had an offense that looked anything like that.
Teddy does nothing to wow anybody but he has been solid everywhere he’s went. Definitely not a QB to be taken lightly. As much of a dud of a HC Shurmur was, he’s a great coordinator. Just one of those guys that fits the OC/DC mild but isn’t cut out to be a head coach. The job he did in Minny speaks for itself and the Broncos look like a solid team.
I've never watched teddy play before. He looked damned goo to me. He moves and sees the field very well. Unless yesterday was an aberration, I don't see why he didn't regain his job in Minny or keep the Panther job.

I heard it through a grapevine, that this offense will be fine. And if isn’t it will be a crime, meaning new players and coaches in no time.

Why was the defense so bad in coverage by the way? Could be multiple reasons. A, the offense never got any legitimate time playing with one another. Which, was so obvious from jump that would be a problem. And B, we have a quarterback. Who is prone to mistakes. I mean, like 40 of them in his short career. As for the defense, this is what happens when fans start believing the hype. We got labeled the best secondary this offseason, and now we got dismantled by Teddy Bridgewater. Most will say they will come back to earth soon, far too much talent on that side of the ball. However, as we saw yesterday. We can’t generate pressure without blitzing. Why do you think Broncos receivers were running with themselves most of the game? Pat Shurmur, brought his chess board out and started making moves. While, Graham wanted to play connect four.

I love Connect 4. Play it with my grandson and I agree with you, Graham was out coached. And what bothered me the most was that after giving up completion after completion to the 23 TEs Denver has on their roster in the first half, there were no adjustments made and the TEs did the same thing in the second half.

We haven’t been able to defend tightends since the second World War. Noah Fant, did his best Jason Witten impersonation yesterday. Making every catch, and moving the chains. Our, only way of defending him was tiring him out from running up and down the field on us all day. That kid can play..

I must say I agree with all of this. Now we will see Thursday night what changes. But might be just so though that in 2 games it may not be enough for the O to get going. They may need 3-4 games ish. The D on the other hand yes maybe they aren't as good overall as we expected though last year they certain were pretty dang on good. Let's see how it goes smdh.

…and it remained true today. This offense plays first and second down to try to convert third downs. If they cannot convert third downs, which they have struggled mightily with the past few years, then it’s punt it away and try again next time. The problem being the Giants no longer have any big/chunk plays. Stretch the field on first down. Throw some balls past the sticks once in a while. Jones threw one ball downfield early today before garbage time and it was a dime to Slayton for about 30-40 yards. This tentative approach isn’t working. Sometimes I really miss Kevin Gilbride. At least for every shotgun draw he threw in a few deep posts and go routes. Couldn't agree more.....a majority of the current playbook is designed to pick up anywhere between 3-4 yards and hope for a third and short conversion.....puke city. Most of you will get a kick out of this. These guys that sit next to us brought a friend who was a Broncos fan (nice guy) and a KEVIN GILLBRIDE relative (nephew or something)....after hearing years of me complain about Gilbride they said "Have at him Jay" but Garrett was sooooo piss poor yesterday all I could muster up was, "Is he still looking for a gig? The Giants could sure use him right now." Then we laughed about the infamous "Gilbride Special" 3rd down shotgun draws. Also a TON of Broncos fans Sunday.....I only saw one who was a complete d-bag.

There's no question that John Mara increased the value of his team tremendously, but he did so at the expense of the Giants never playing to a sold-out home stadium since this move.
A team that was sold-out for decades, can no longer fill home stadium. Fans can now buy single game tickets for every game, while season tickets are available throughout the entire stadium, including the very best club seats and the luxury suites.
So yes, the Giants are making more money with MetLife, but they have been unable to realize it's full potential as a source of revenue.
With respect, really? Do you have proof Giants revenue has gone down since they started stinking? I don't doubt they haven't INCREASED revenue as much as they could have in recent years because they stink, but as you admitted, their value goes up regardless. I'm not even sure what your point is. They built too big of a stadium for the crappy team?

I never mentioned a decrease in revenue, although I did see a statistic that states their revenue did in fact drop from $547 million in 2019 to $350 million in 2020 which is obviously due to Covid.
My point was that things are not as rosey as GL was making it seem with John Mara. The team has less people paying to come to the stadium.

My point is some of your posts seem to excuse him from responsibility for the past 10 years. When he's a big part of the reason for it, in MO. Honestly, I could give a rats ass about if John Mara has maximized his teams value or revenue. But I'm reasonably sure both will keep going up regardless of the product on the field (excepting pandemics). They may have less people actually coming to the stadium (or leaving early), but I'm sure they will make it up with increases in food, beverages and corporate purchases of PSLs. John Mara is going to be ok even if his team stinks for another decade. Which is the problem.
