Not to say that everyone's response after that piss-poor performance wasn't justified.
It's just that we haven't had anything to root for in the past couple of years and we've been drafting in the top-10 for half a decade, so to see everyone worked-up after our loss as if it was something unexpected was a bit interesting to me.
Having a losing season year after year really takes it out of you as a fan. Especially when it seems like that no progress has been made on this team. I want everyone to be honest, are you guys really not numb to the feeling of losing?

Is acceptable the same as numb?
The bar is the lowest in the NFL.
- say the right thing - culture
Put about dozen or so reasons just don’t include winning.

I used to get so upset when the Giants lost,if it was a 1:00 game I literally would not watch any football the rest of the day.
Now it barely fazes me. Pretty sad.

I'm not phased by yesterday's showing.. Admittedly got a little confidence when he threw that pass to Slayton and then the scoring drive..
I wasn't confident the defense was going to be as good as last season but I don't get Bradberry playing so far off the receivers and Jackson wasn't any better then the hacks they trotted and got rid of from last season!!

Things ain't what they used to be.

Unfortunately I’ve become so used to watching them lose, I’m prepared to be checked out by Mid-October. I’ll still watch but I used to be so much more invested in them.

Yup I don't even get angry anymore. I mostly just laugh.
At my age I don't waste my time agonizing over this stuff. All of the players, coaches and execs go home at the end of the day with their pockets full of money - win or lose.
I have more important things to worry about.

I'm totally numb. Don't even remember what my Giants fandom felt like that had some electricity.

Numb we are beyond that this has been like this since mid 2012. except for the mirage of 2016 that seemed to make this team even worse ever since then they were bad before and worse now. There is still a lot of season left so heres to 2021 getting better instead of worse.

If DJ did not make that dumb turnover, he'd be less criticized, he still telegraphs his targeted receiver and throws into tight coverage. I thought he had some good throws, I saw drops by Slayton, SB and Rudolph.
The new and expensive weapons Toney and Golladay; I thought could have been utilized on more plays.
I am trying to root for DJ but he cannot have turnovers anymore or at least be smart in protecting the ball which he should be instinctual on doing by now.

The bar is so low for me that ants trip over it. I’m at a point, I’ll settle for winning the coin toss. We’re so bad that bye weeks have become our game of the year.

Is this what Jets fandom feels like?
It still hurts and sucks just as bad as ever. The difference is now I stop caring sooner. If we are in October and can't win anything I give up and start researching the draft.
