Is there another NFL offense that doesn't put any players in motion pre-snap? I mean, there's a huge advantage for the offense, and we’re not utilizing it. And coincidentally, there are no open receivers, ever. I may have missed others, but I only remember one play where they ran pre-snap motion. One. It not only helps the offense create mismatches, but it also shows the offense if the defense is in zone or man. I only saw one play where a WR split out, slid over a few steps closer inside. But I thought that was just an adjustment.

Erm Wasn't one of the features of this so called Air corryel style offense multiple motion Like the Rams Cowboys in the 90s Ect Supposedly. Something is not right with how unprepared they were. It seems that they did exactly what the Broncos dictated them to do in order for the Broncos to have the most possible success on both sides of the ball. It really is baffling.

We were lifeless, unprepared and of the many games I looked in on, the Giants looked like what many claim us to be - the worst team in football. we sucked.
very disappointed. Thats what I get following everyday of training camp, watching all the interviews, watching the joint practices, etc etc. and thinking we're turning a corner.
but can it turn around quick? yeah, it can, but man every facet of that offense needs a quick surge, that was silly. the defense, though they laid an egg, I can picture being significantly better even thurs.
tired of these awful starts to the season, though.

I’ve seen more life at a cemetery. They went into the season opener flat, you would think they flew in from Australia. And the jet lag was killing them. Denver played like a team that had something to prove. They punched us in the mouth, and we went down like a cheap suit. This team always has to have their backs against the wall for them to wake up.

I think we could get more answers about who built the pyramids?

All Joe Judge needs is a key ring on his belt with a chain and a whistle and he immediately becomes everyone’s high school Gym teacher.

Had to re-watch to see if it was as bad I remember it. DEFENSE: - Dalvin Tomlinson could be the biggest loss of the year. Run defense was porous.
- Denver receivers were running wide open in the middle of the field....like LITERALLY no one within 2-3+ yards of them...the underneath coverage was atrocious all game whether it be a WR crossing route, a RB release or a simple TE seam/in/out....very scary. I almost think they blitzed too much from the LB and Safety position leaving these gaping holes. Outside coverage wasn't much better.....seemed like very rarely if ever did Denver's players have to make a contested catch. Defensive backfield was supposed to be the strength of this team yet seemed like they very rarely went press man.....when they went zone they got torn up (again mostly underneath).
- Couldn't get off the field on 3rd/4th downs
- In the 4th quarter they were visibly gassed
OFFENSE:
- Quite conversely NO Giants receiver got ANY separation except for a some plays late presumably due to the Broncos laying back a bit in the fourth. Every catch was contested and I give Jones credit for squeezing the ball into a few tight windows.
- Pass blocking was good for most of the game except for 2-3 breakdowns.
- Run blocking was non-existent....just no push whatsoever.
- The play calling was appalling....mainly very vanilla with short elementary routes which looked like Denver DB's were jumping/pressing all game. The RPO's looked like straight pass plays disguised as an RPO. The drive at the end of the first half with the ball on their own 5 was atrocious. He calls a HB dive for no gain, then a 2 yard FB flat route followed by 2 yard TE flat route.....wanted to puke....no effort whatsoever to get a first down.....simply setting up for the punt.
- They moved the ball more consistently in the second half but were down 17-7 already when they first got the ball....uphill climb from there.
- Golladay, Saquon and Rudolph CLEARLY need more practice/game time to get their feet under them. As other have pointed out the guys who practiced (Shep/Slayton) played well.
- Not gonna knock Jones too much for the fumble. Re-watching it he covered it with two hands expecting contact but it still got jarred loose. I put that fumble in a different category than not being able to secure it in the pocket.
The coaching on both sides of the ball and the head coach need to step it up as well. Every single one of them got outcoached and the challenge on the scoring play was embarrassing.
All in all not good but surprisingly not AS bad as I thought. Felt like a fourth pre-season game to me especially within it being a non-division/conference opponent. I think this team will start clicking more on O by week 3-4.....and I think Graham needs to start playing more man on D. Hopefully they can steal 1-2 games until they get there on both sides of the ball.
Nice assessment!👍 I feel like everything you described with the defense has been going on for years .. no matter who the players are or who the coaches are we can’t cover the middle of the field .. Every single year tight ends destroy this team whether they are rookies or all pros .. on 3rd downs we should just give teams the 1st because it’s almost automatic. Teams are wide open constantly against the giants .. The giants have not drafted a true pass rusher on this team since JPP… We can have all the corners in the world but if we can’t pressure the QB we will get destroyed .. Xman and Carter are truly invisible out there .. On offense our guys look like they are running in quick sand and can never keep their feet .. if you didn’t know better when the giants are on offense it’s almost is if there are 20 guys playing defense .. for the giants to complete a 5 yd pass it almost feels damn near impossible and if they do complete it they are tackled immediately.. They are so damn boring and predictable.. Its same problems year after year .

So I just watched it again just to look for specific things
1.I counted 5 missed sacks (that would be when someone had a shot at Bridgewater and missed ) That right there alone was a huge reason we lost, especially those that happened on 3rd and 4th down.. When you miss a sack bad things happen.
2.As I suspected we were playing off the receivers 80% of the game...pitch and catch
3.O line Specifically watched running plays As I also suspected the line did their jobs with their assignments for the most part, but with so many players playing a short zone because they knew we were playing a prevent passing style holes and gaps were quickly filled, and they set the contain so there weren't any cut outside lanes.. (but honestly, when the back took the ball the hole was there 75% of the time but instantly filled.
Golladay He is not a guy that is going to get a lot of seperation..big bodied guys rarely do,especially in a short passing style as these big guys don't have the instant acceleration the midsized and smaller guys do.. His strength in route running are the intermediate and deep routes..
If this is how he is going to be used we just wasted a ton of money on his salary this year being 100% misused and while Gettleman can be blamed for a lot of things, this is not one of them...

i watched only once but it was easy to see we need a few cover lbs. pass rushers and the run blocking was poor. Also most of the first team defense was winded hands on their hips before the half ended. not enough time in preseason and not ready for week 1 , that is on coach.

This is why I don't pay attention to almost ANY of this stuff any more. It is almost complete bullshit IMO. I show up for the opening kickoff of game 1. And not a moment before. I can't stand all the pomp and circumstance, coach-speak and hype.

the mods will not be doing the post game evals this season because its just SOS. Sick of posting on it actually.
My simple eval is a big ****ing fat F for the whole organization. Until further notice they are terrible, overall, in all facets of the game.
They have ruined my enthusiasm for 2021.
