I wonder what the compensation will look like?
My initial gut feeling is that the Dolphins gave up way too much.

Considering he could still spend a significant time in jail if these charges stick this is am extremely risky move
I would expect Tua and at least 2 1sts

I think the phis are crazy if they come anywhere near what the Texans are rumored to have been asking (3 first round picks +). I know nothing of the details of this supposed deal, but with the outstanding charges, who knows what his availability will be. If he loses those cases, even if they are civil, with no jail time, he'll face a lengthy suspension, and will be a very bad look for the team.

This is a desperation move from a team that doesn't evan have a roster to win. They need to see how it plays out with tua this year, and reassess at end of season what direction go at QB. If it's not tua then they at least have all their picks.

The only way any team who make a deal for Watson is if they have information about the disposition of these accusations, both legally and from the league.
Maybe that's what's going on or maybe it's all BS. But it won't happen until the results of these cases are known.

True but will he see jail time is what I am trying to figure out. I don't know if civil case lead to jail time.If so them Miami will not trade for him? Men are probably the dumbest animals on earth when they are horny. I am surprised the Team didn't approve the massuses beforehand to see if they are trained properly. Unless they weren't the typical massage service and offered other things. There are some nice high end "alternative" massage places all over Houston.

He could buy his way out of this, say 1 million or so to all 23 victims. Not even a years salary. Plus I would think the league is almost forced into a suspension for him.

Neither his lawyers nor the Texans legal team tried to keep things quiet. It would have been a drop in the bucket.

Wouldn't touch him with a 10ft pole. Plus I read that he's a big fan of the Houston "Oilers". His GF is a total idiot if she's still with him.

The lawyer for these women was running for public office when he took the case and might have just done it to help his chance to win the election..personally I think Watson is guilty of some of it but maybe not all..

Apparently, the Eagles were strongly pursuing Watson and he refused to waive his no trade clause for them.

Seems odd to give up on Tua so quickly after just drafting him in the first round. But what do I know.

Yep He seemingly looks like he is starting to improve This is going to be a bad trend with teams giving up on qbs if they don't look like Herbert/Mahomes out of the box, because this is extremely rare for this to happen and really only happens when teams have a decent group of playmakers (which is what made Jones rookie year even more remarkable ..though he did have Barkley as well ) Tua is probably going to be part of this deal as well..

Media hacks filling that void with nonsense as usual
Watson expected to be traded Engram on the move held out of practice
This coach is right, this coach is wrong . . . it’s all made up.

Dolphins apparently offered 3 firsts and 2 2nds for Watson WOW, What a windfall for Houston. And they refused that ? Maybe we can trade David Jones for that and we could even pay his salary for them How a team can do that without knowing the legal ramifications coming down is beyond me. Plus whatever the NFL decides to pile on if they so choose. I wonder what Miami is thinking today after Tua coming off the bench and beating the Ravens last night. He did QB them to a win while hurt.

I think it was never a firm offer, my understanding is that they were serious negotiations, but the Phish were hesitant due to the legal issues (at least thats what was said on one of the NFL network shows I was watching earlier this week, can't remember which one exactly. May happen during the offseason once the suits are settled.

Watson may have been dumb to do what he is accused of doing but it's not a crime to be horny as far as I know. One more thing, these female massage people who rub mens naked bodies for a living know what to expect...
