Wow, crazy game! Randle and Fournier were fantastic tonight. The defense not so much. I doubt that will fly with Thibs. First off it was good to get the W. The other 2 guys that impressed me tonight were Toppin and Robinson. Good start.

I'll just repost...
Normally not an NBA guy until after New Years, but what an opening game.
Knicks beat the Celtics in double OT.
That might have been the most entertaining NBA game I've seen since my days watching Jordan.
Who the hell is Fourtier?

That might have been the most entertaining NBA game I've seen since my days watching Jordan. Who the hell is Fourtier? Fournier was their biggest offseason signing. He was buried in Orlando which is why you’ve probably never heard of him. As you saw, hell of a shooter. Meaning if we go back to he playoffs he is the kind of guy that can make D’s pay for doubling Randle.

It's amazing, but I truly think this team has turned that proverbial corner we are desperately waiting the Giants to.
I'm buying in.
The Garden was rocking last night.
Last year I said making the playoffs should be the goal. They accomplished that.
This year they have to win in the playoffs. At least 1 series.
Who would have thought that the Islanders and Knicks would be NYs most exciting and top teams in the area.

Islanders have high expectations but I would respectfully disagree they are the most exciting hockey show in town. (I know, I know says the Rangers fan)

Good God, people freaking out after just 1 NBA game by the Knicks. Reminds me of how some were talking playoffs for the Giants after their miracle win over NO. And making the playoffs in the NBA is laughable when just about 50% of the teams get in including sub 500 teams.

Knicks are as bad as the Jets/Mets, haven't even sniffed an NBA finals in over 2 decades. And with 50% of the teams making the playoffs, you have to be a special kind of bad team to not make it in. Making the playoffs in today's NBA is really no big deal.

Yeah, just keep it real for us children, you being the grown up and all that. We are fans for Pete's sake, Mr. obvious. We really don't need you to bring us down to earth. If our enjoyment ends in disappointment, we will survive without your chiding.

Last nights win was a nice way to hopefully build on what they started. It is a long season, that's for sure though, lots ahead.

Just watched the 1st Q vs Orlando. This is a good team. They have depth and they have star power. Not elite star power, but star power with Randle and Barrett really is developing nicely. Robinson is a good center piece. Quickly and Toppin are depth right now which is awesome.
I haven't seen a quality Knicks team like this is quite some time. Even with Melo, Stat and company they didn't have this depth.
I like being back into the NBA. Should help alleviate the stank of the Giants.

I know it’s a star league, but they have a good thing.

This is a minor point of contention with Thibs. Why do you bring Randle back in up 25 with 6 Minutes left?

They got talent, solid coaching and some real good depth. Can't crush the depth for a star. Did that with Melo. If you can do it for draft picks and it looks like they need him, sure.

Its fun to watch.

Keep driving to the hole that whole time. Create fouls and offensive rebound opportunities. Certainly no 3s by Rose or RJ in the first 10 seconds of the shot clock. They will learn. Nice to come out of Chicago with the win, that’s how I look at it. They played extremely well for 58 minutes.

How can anyone like the Nets? Two reasons you were either a New Jersey Nets fan, which I can respect. Or you are a front runner/sellout Knicks fan, either of which can pretty much eat **** as far as I’m concerned.

I think most self respecting NJ Nets fans left the team, when they turned their back on the state, F them!! I've been a Knicks fan since I was a kid, and they were still and ABA team anyway...

They didn’t even put RJ on all NBA rookie 2nd team last year. First off he was phenomenal tonight. Secondly, and most of his teammates back this up, he puts in more work to improve his game than nearly anyone. This was as Zion sat and watched injured again. 5-1. Good stuff.

The Nets totally disassociated themselves with NJ, had quite a different feel to it. Of course, I'm in NJ, so the Giants moving here didn't make me sad...
