How many teams lost their starting QB, LT, C, LG, RB, #1 WR, #2 WR, #3 WR, #4, WR? I know for a fact Baltimore is ravaged but they a re good at roster building and getting themes out of the guys they have. I don't know how they figure it all out the Giants have lost a lot of Their playmakers, #3 WR doesn't count as a starters and neither do Bredeson or Skura. Giants aren't the most injured team for sure but they have been hit where it counts MLB LT C LG RB and WR.

At the end of the day the guys the Giants lost have really hurt their ability to run their Offense the way they want to, now maybe the website doesn't think much of these guys or maybe they do, but there is a clear cut difference in the offensive team when these guys are healthy and on the field. As they show d tho Baltimore is by far the most injured team in the league.

How many teams lost their starting QB, LT, C, LG, RB, #1 WR, #2 WR, #3 WR, #4, WR? We lost Jones for one half of a game. Redskins, Browns, Seahawks etc have lost their starting QB for weeks. And I know facts are often not welcomed here but there are teams worse off than the Giants. Yet they continue to win. And another fact: we were 0-3 when healthy. I agree with you but that is a bit deceiving because Golladay and Barkely were on the field but not completely healthy the first game or 2 still they played a couple games early that bad play self-inflicted wounds caused them to lose, Good teams don't do that injuries or no injuries The skins are 2-4 they aren't winning I think Hienekie is giving them as much or more then Fitz might have, Washington is are one of the teams that benefitted from the Giants self inflicted foolery.

Mike when I look at this, the injuries didn't prevent the Giants from winning in Washington and or beating Atlanta, The Giants find ways to lose games these are 2 games they have to win they out played those teams and found away to lose, when that happens your asking for 0-6 1-5 -2-4.

No one is ever completely healthy in the NFL. Barkley and Golladay played. Most, if not all of our starters played. 0-3 But like you said above, good teams (like the Ravens) over come. Thing is they didn't have training camp and weren't really part of the offense especially the first game. That said you gotta win no matter who is on the field

Can you refine to starters out?? Even better: I would rather this be refined to starters out. If two teams lost their #3 receiver but one team also lost their 1st and 2nd receiver which team would be hurt more by losing their #3?

Well you can look at Baltimore. They lost essentially all their RB's. They lost their best corner. Obviously the worst injury by far is the QB. We lost our guy for a half. Teams like Houston and Miami lost theirs for many weeks. DC has been playing all year with their backup.
In our case, while the O struggled last week, our D is the problem. Yet they have stayed very healthy. All 5 of this "great" secondary have been healthy. The only guy we lost is Martinez. And Raglund is a decent backup. (and our D was playing poorly before he got hurt)
We may be able to use these injuries as an excuse from here on, but we can't blame 1-5 on injuries. It's been at the feet of the defense. The HEALTHY defense.

My post has nothing to do with excuses. My point is that statistics don’t tell the whole story.

This is misleading. The titans can win as long as they have an olne and Henry. There is a problem with the way they measure this.
We are down to person 3 and 4 and multiple positions but it only counts the original starter.
So if we lost our LG and C and LG, LG that only counts 1 man per game. Where I don't care how well you build your team when your the next man up after the next man up after the next man up there is at very worst a cohesion curve.

No excuses, Giants defense won games when they scored 20 or more points last year, the defense is out of sorts and part of it is guys Like Fackrel who got them pressures and sacks could cover and set the edge they don't have that now, Frackrel was a nice piece he could get you 5 or 6 sacks and do everything asked.

I posted this data last week through week 4, and no one wanted to give any credit to the link.
It obvious we aren't the only one decimated by injuries. Not even the worst. Yet, our record speaks for itself.
Injuries can alter a season, but they can't continually be an excuse. Good teams find ways around them, and Baltimore is a perfect example.

When guys can basically go from bagging groceries to playing Oline or WR on our team I know we have had our share of problems.

Bad teams look for excuses for their misfortunes. Great teams, look for solutions.
