How many of these are Giants players that leave and will meet their potential?? McCaffery is one other than that I'm seeing this "EVERY time" thing you are throwing out here as incorrect.. I think my point is pretty clear and yes as a mets fan, they get rid of someone with potential, they meet that potential somewhere else. im sorry if it doesnt literally translate to EVERY time, but it happens often and too much, but you want to keep looking for things in my posts to give me shit about just go somewhere else %$#$, im sick of having to defend myself to you for things you twist around. Understood now.. Your point is BS.. I didn't twist any of your made up response just asked you a straight up question about it which you are currently pissy about because you now realize it.. Enjoy your weekend..

my point isnt BS, the mets trade soooo many players away that end up good, i was making a joke that with our luck engram will end up playing well on another team. as far as how many giants players will end up good who struggled here? eh, i dunno, not as many as happens to the mets, but with our luck i could picture engram playing well elsewhere. we'll see. I will enjoy my weekend, im digesting new dream theater, but ill probably just go back to ole scenes from a memory....

I'm curious.. Do you think that Engram is better than Ertz?? No Ertz is definitely better but Ertz is 32 and had basically demanded a trade. If it's a one year rental who cares about age.. I didn't see where he requested a trade since I thought he was pretty upset that he knew he was leaving the team that last game..

Devon Kennard seems to be doing pretty well on the Cardinals. I really liked him when he was on the Giants.

There were some doubts he would even be on the team before the season started. Some disagreements between him and the organization. I can;t remember for sure but may have been injury related.

why wasnt kaden smith ever given more reps, beyond that the giants want engram to have playing time. is it his blocking? the guy seemed to catch nearly everything thrown his way

A 5th round pick is a giveaway. Far from a steal for a starting TE who catches 50 balls a year. EE has more value to us for 10 games than a 5th round pick. He’s only caught 50 or more balls 2 out of 5 years so far. Okay he catches 50 balls in every full season. He would have caught way more than 50 if he was not injured in 2 other seasons. He has only played in 4 full seasons so far. This season is only 7 games old. Was only healthy enough to play 9 or more games in 2 of his 4 full seasons. He 236 catches in only 55 games. That averages out to 68 catches per 16 games. This kid is still young and does have value imo.

We still have a season to play. Are we really going to throw away the season for a 6th round pick? Yes, because Evan Engram will make or break the season for us...lol We should be able to get at least a 4th round pick for him since there are a bunch of teams supposedly interested in him.

We have not had much at receiver recently. EE helped us in both our wins. I feel better about a 4th round pick then a 5th or 6th. Would prefer better than a 4th.

Engram had 27 yards and 0 TDs against New Orleans. Engram had 44 yards and 0 TDs against Carolina. Hardly a game changer and someone we can definitely live without. We essentially have him for another 10 games, might as well get something in return for him especially when we don't have any cap space next season to make any moves in free agency.

Not much in yards but I felt he made some key grabs to keep our offense moving in both games. He is 3rd on the team in catches despite missing the first 2 games and not looking healthy in game 3. He has 18 catches in his last 4 games which is probably as good as anyone in our last 4 games. If a trade is not at least a 4th round pick I would not make it. Could get a compensatory pick if he signs elsewhere.

I definitely wouldn't give him away........

I've been thinking this a lot recently. We keep getting rid of good players and most people here are fine with it because they aren't amazing, like your Kennards, Pughs, etc. But now what do we have? No depth at all. We need to keep our players and develop them rather than letting everyone leave and bank on your rookies to become starters and picking people up in free agency.

Jerrell Adams was 6th round pick for us but his career was over soon. He had a much better year in TB then the Giants got out of their 2nd safety.. In fact it cost them having to get Logan Ryan and his bad play has been on display this year..

Here’s the thing and I can’t argue with it. With Jones currently in need of weapons I don’t think it’s worth a 5th to give Engram away. Make someone at least fork over a 4th. Especially the Packers since a 5th is guaranteed to be a borderline 6th anyway. Bills as well, otherwise keep him and let him sign elsewhere. I’m not crystal clear, but a pro bowl TE should be worth a decent compensation pick, right?

Yeah, let’s trade the only tightend on the team that can get open. The other two run like they’re in a swimming pool. But, they can block. Which, helps for our nonexistent running game..

They did’t need to blowup the 4-3 b/c they had enough parts.

I called it last night the moment Tonyon went down in the NON Giants Football thread. Hope we stole a 5th rounder from them. Giants definitely got more leverage after Tonyon got hurt. A 5th round pick is a giveaway. Far from a steal for a starting TE who catches 50 balls a year. EE has more value to us for 10 games than a 5th round pick. Exactly. Especially with a desperate GM and coach.
