adreneline. ITs amazing what the body can do.. now once that wears off and you wake up the next day it feels a million times worse.. this is probably what happend with jones. Didn't feel that bad during the game and woke up thinking.. oh shit, this is for real.. I get all that, but I doubt his status would be in question due to pain. So like I said, either he's playing Sunday, or there's a serious problem with his neck. If you can play through an injury due to adrenaline, and its safe to do so, there's no reason you couldn't do it again a week later. Give him some aleve and a shot of cortisone and he'll be good to go. The adrenaline covers the pain which covers the injury until much later. It is why people don't feel pain and realize their injuries until much later after a car accident. You can't reproduce the adrenaline to cover that pain in that area, especially without injuring that part again which may leave his head hanging on by a piece of skin. With his neck being in pain and possibly injured, he won't be able to check down on his progressions.....oh wait

What is this an Abbott and Costello sketch? One second he’s out for the game, the next Bob the builder said he may be out for the season, and now he’s practicing. This is Judge we’re talking about, Jones probably has a broken vertebrae. And Judge is rubbing bengay on his neck in preparation for the upcoming game.
If I’m a player, I would rather take my chances with the guillotine. Then have the Giants training staff take a look at me.

It is funny because I already said two things you probably would have denied saying had I not directly quoted you and I guarantee I can find where you said both Billy Price is a good center and Hernandez a GOOD guard if I take the time to go through your post history because I specifically remember arguing with you over both of them. I've only said Price was a good backup. And outside his rookie year, I've always maintained that Hernandez was nothing more than an average Guard. But you always spend too much time talking when you should be listening, as I'm sure you get told often. Average? Ok, I’ll go with that. How about he sucks? How about he’s below average? Average would be a huge upgrade. I usually don’t listen to people that kill my brain cells and make me dumber hence why I rarely listen to you.

He was ruled out. He runs too recklessly. As opposed to running safely? That confuses you?

That is the difference.. RGIII is the poster child of how not to get tackled why a player like Walter Payton and even Barry Sanders are examples of how to somehow lessen a blow when being hit.. Jones doesn't have that while I think Jackson does for sure but I still wouldn't like seeing my QB take some of those hits.. Nice post. I have no problem with Jones running…theoretically. If he doesn’t have the skill set to protect himself, or worse, actively puts himself in needlessly dangerous positions, then it’s not a great idea. How can a QB run safely when he’s just learning g how to run with a football that does not end up on the turf….spot on post

I’m sure you and all of us fall into that same boat for some. So what? He’s entitled to bad opinions just like the rest of us. No one is keeping score. Sure, some just have a lot more bad opinions than others and although no one is keeping score some invite more “controversy” than others because they are more ridiculous. Pretty sure if I started a thread defending DG right now it would cause a shit storm. Why? Because it’s ridiculous and because people do care what other posters say, which you don’t happen to agree with. If you’re willing to post something publicly you should be willing to own it, not deny it or constantly make excuses. No, what I don't agree with is that people take this stuff seriously or that they might care enough to feel it's important when it unequivocally is not. It's puzzling to me that some posters believe there's any kind of scoring system for their largely pedestrian opinions. There isn't.

That’s of course ridiculous but to entertain it momentarily, how would something like that ever be quantified? I mean assuming someone actually wanted to quantify it. Putting people’s feelings aside of course, because that’s worthless as any kind of measure, how would one justify that belief with anything other than “Golly, I like that poster”. You didn't hear? PFF has now delved into the fan forum analytics. Hasn't that been the model all along?

True, but we did see Jones slide on most of his runs Sunday. His size is just a hindrance in some situations. And he is aggressive.

i can't believe we are sitting up here debating what this fool needs to do as if he isn't smart enough or the coaches ain't bright enough to tell him NOT to lower his damn shoulders and take unnecessary hits!! And they run his ass up the middle ect is just asking for trouble it's really a shame. The fact that he doesn't know how to slide properly more often than not is baffling. An extra yard or 2 is more important than you staying on the field???

It's issues like this and the fumble/interceptions for why you DON'T draft QBs who went to friggin Duke and had 0 competition their entire careers.

He's the frigging QB, he's not a RB, a FB, or a TE. He's typically the most important player on the team, the player who is the most indispensable. He can't be recklessly throwing his body on the line against defenders typically bigger and stronger than him.
Why is this so hard to comprehend? You take the yards you can get and when you are about to be contacted you slide. You don't lead with your helmet into contact as a QB.
It doesn't make you tough, it makes you stupid. Tough for a QB is standing in the pocket under pressure, and making the throw, that's what I want my QB to do. The rules protect QBs now more than ever, that is far less risky than trying to run over 250+ pound defenders

There’s no scoring system but people should be held accountable for what they say, don’t piss down my leg and tell me it’s raining. There are blatant liars on here that accuse others of saying things they never said or denying they said certain things when they actually did. If I recognize it, I’ll call them out on it. As far as opinion goes, the same guy who likes every single one of your posts about taking things too seriously, or not caring, or believing there is a scoring system is the same guy who consistently berates others if he doesn’t agree with their opinion and is always reminding everyone when he is right. So please don’t act like you think I’m the only one or that it doesn’t exist across this site or any sports related site for that matter.
