Can we stop pretending he is just a guy?
This may be a good thing as it may signal he is moving to the role he belongs…in the ownership office. Not in operations.

Well he shouldn't be in the personnel department.
Though he is an owner, I would expect him to have input on the hiring of the GM.

He is an owner has every right to be there. Means nothing, he has no voice in the building.

He is an owner has every right to be there. Means nothing, he has no voice in the building. I want you to re-read what you just wrote. One of the people interviewing the next GM for the team has “no voice in the building” Just stop People with “no voice in the building” are not IN the building for starters. And they definitely aren’t one of only 3 people on the GM interview panel.

He is an owner has every right to be there. Means nothing, he has no voice in the building. Then what purpose does he serve in the interview process? Why not have the janitor in on the interview? How about team nutritionist too?

“John Mara said that Chris Mara spends most of his time doing evaluation of college players and he particiaptes in the draft but all personnel decisions have been made by the GM and HC. #Giants“

I'd really love for Tisch to take more of a leadership role. He's further removed from the team and probably has better insight into the issues that have been plaguing it for the better part of a decade. That's not to say cut the Mara's out, but I hope someone is telling this to John/Chris.

Not sure who one would expect to be on the interview panel deciding who the next GM is. Isn't Chris Mara like a high ranking VP?
How do people think this is gonna work? The Maras hire an outside firm, who would then hire the GM? And then they can hire a HC?

I’d expect him to be there. I mean, who else would be? I won’t read too much into it right now. Give input, an opinion on the hire then get out of his way. Don’t take it personally if that hire turns around and “promotes” you to a no-say job in the office

His presser just comes off as him whining about how the "media" is finally talking about his family's influence on day-to-day decisions and how he isn't able to acknowledge that as a problem.

Ugh Well Let's see who we hire.... The good news is the media for the most part made John very uncomfortable We seemingly are going 100% outside the organization everywhere The bad news is Mara being so defensive Let's see in a year (because we won't know right away)

Means nothing, he has no voice in the building. 1. You literally have no idea about this. 2. If he has no voice in the building then why is he sitting in on the GM hiring committee/process? 3. Not to mention his past decade of experience in the personnel dept. But... #1. Once again:
