Talented kid. It was probably a mistake to draft him. The injury history alone was enough of a red flag for MOST GM's. Not Getty, though. The kid has done nothing wrong. He can't help his injury problems. It's a tough sport. Hating the kid for it is ridiculous. As I said before, all if the other shit that people dump on him for wouldn't even matter to them if we were winning. It's just more fodder foe thier cannons. Especially for the quacks like a duck crowd that wants a completely old sch99l wholesale leave it to beaver era team

You call them kids in one sentence, and a grownass man in the next. Which one are they? By the way, everyone is different. They have different personalities, think differently, have different motivations. That's why coaches are important. You remind me a lot of my dad, he can never see something from someone else's perspective, only his own. It is impossible to have conversations with him a lot of the time. I get it, that's how you live your life and you can't understand why other people can't. That's just the nature of humans. Well…responsibility and accountability are a huge part of life. Some people take longer to learn that than others. Some even have to fall pretty far before figuring it out.

Well…responsibility and accountability are a huge part of life. Yes, I agree with that. But it's obvious if you look around the world that not everyone has the same values as you. It's just something that needs to be understood, you prioritize those things in your life, but others don't, that doesn't make them worse or better (although I guess you will disagree with this statement). He hasn't done anything egregious, I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt for now. He was only a rookie, and he still has a lot of learning to do (again, not that he did anything wrong in this case). It makes me wonder what coaches and mentors teach all these years and why it doesn’t sink in. Or if it does sink in and these guys decide to throw it out. Or if the stuff they teach is even valuable enough to hold on to down the road.

He's just posted some things on Twitter, like any young person. He had a Rams mask on, that was given to him by the stadium (masks are required in the stadium), because he went there to support his pal Van Jefferson. He pulled his mask down and took a selfie. Now he's being vilified. I don't think he has done anything wrong. I just don't know what he did that was SO irresponsible, especially as someone who just got out of college. What didn't sink in?

I guess generally people who are not coachable won't succeed in pro sports, unless they have a transcendent talent. By the way, that's why these head coaches are paid so much, it's not easy getting 53 players on the same page, that's a lot of personalities and egos to manage.

The way members of this board desperately want to hate Toney is alarming.

It was reported the Packers were hoping Toney would fall to 29. Toney was praised by media and fans when we drafted him. Ojulari also came with concerns about his knee. You just never know, but you don't judge a player's career based on their rookie season.

The way members of this board desperately want to hate Toney is alarming. I take what these people are saying about him with a grain of salt. When interacting with our fans away from here, an OVERWHELMING amount of them like and support Toney. The same people ragging on Toney every chance they get are the same ones that ragged on Beckham. I know their common denominator, but will refrain from going that route on a football forum.

The way members of this board desperately want to hate Toney is alarming. He was drafted in the 1st round and is making millions...just want him to live up to his potential. I find his performance and attitude alarming. Not saying he's a bad teammate like Odell but he's making headlines for all the wrong reasons. I noticed that the Giants didn't let Toney any more interviews with the media after Toney was mouthing off to them saying how "he has a big mouth."

Always about the race card for some of you. Can't just simply be that the guy is an idiot.

This is a nothing story, just meant to rile people up for no reason. They obviously didn't provide context for the photo for that specific reason. And look, it worked really well as you can see in this thread.

You know Gettleman always said that he was taking high character players and that the culture was "great". When someone has to constantly put something out it's like they are trying to force the narrative that it has changed. We can give a shit about the culture we want to see results on the field.
