Still really not sold on any of them. I guess my two are Flores (defensive minded coach, struggled to get his offense going although, tua) Dabool and tbh, this guy wasn't good at all until Allen, Dan Quinn (defensive coach, flacons.. nuff said)
There's so much hype around some of these guys i'm not excited about anyone of them.. anyone else? or do you think one of these guys JUST HAS TO be the guy.

I'm with you. They all seem like a gamble to different degrees.
Although Dan Quinn is the only one that has good HC experience (Superbowl experience). Yeah he screwed it up, but that seems like something one learns from. I'm not saying I want him as the Giants HC though...

Quinn and Flores have a track record, as HC. Others, Are all Projections .

personally, I'm a fan of Leftwich, going back to his days at Grambling. I feel that he has displayed tremendous leadership over the years, and I like the work he's done with Arians. Learning from TB12 is not a bad thing either.

I cared more about the GM search. I normally don't get excited about the head coach search..this year is not any different.
Coaches on the open market are usually there for a reason or just hot coordinators with no HC experience. and even coaches successful one place often can't replicate the success...just want to see results after the hiring.

Of course they are ALL gambles, since none have been a HC prior.
Its a glob of HC candidates, but Leftwich would be my #1 pick for right now. I want an ex QB who has a solid resume. we need someone to help fix the offense and train a QB. Daboll I guess would be the 2nd pick for me right now. I like that hipster from SF though, running that offense, Mike McDaniel. Seems like a smart guy that gets results. Moneyball ish. Interesting take. Very raw and high risk gamble there though.
Obviously Harbaugh and Payton would be my top 2 choices if available.

I tell ya what and who's gonna be a Hotttt commdotity next year and heck maybe even this year if the 9ers make it to the SB and especially if they win it..... ( Demeco Ryans!!!!

These head coaches are the consolation prize. Instead of steak knives, and Milli Vanilli‘s greatest hits. You get these guys..

I find interesting that I heard Tiki say its the HC as much as it is his staff.

You’re not wrong. Every coach has their downsides. Some though might be a better fit then others.

Most (probably all) here don't know enough to be excited about any of the candidates.
That is why we have a new GM who is paid to know or learn those things.
It is why hopefully our owner doesn't try to prove that he can pick a winning HC. He can't!

No to Dabol because of inexperience as a head coach. Yes to Sean Payton Jim Harbaugh but in the real world of choices. Dan Quinn, Doug Peterson, Brian Flores and longshot would be Jim Caldwell because anyone who could win games in detroit deserves a look.

That's true, but I'm talking more about absorbing how Brady goes about his preparation. That will carry a lot of weight. When your coach tells you, this is how Brady does it, hopefully the player is smart enough to try to emulate. Like or dislike Brady, he puts in the work, no denying that, any player can learn that trick, they are their own barrier to it.

I question why has no other team reached out to interview Daboll ? The way he is is being touted, you think he is the second coming of Bill Walsh? Why is the only team interested in him the Giants?

Guys like Sean Payton and Jim Harbaugh seem very much above the tier of guys we’re considering. I know they aren’t exactly ready and available but those names pop up and it’s an eye-opener in the comparison difference of level of coaching between what we want and what we’ll have to settle for.
Pat Fitzgerald was mentioned in the Bears conversation at one time. Excellent football coach but he’s pretty attached to Northwestern. He can make chicken salad out of chicken shit though.
Leftwhich is intriguing to me.
I’m not expecting much of an upgrade with any of the coaching prospects under consideration.

I remember him saying that i believe last year he didn't like their new DC after Silas left. This should be DR's second year at the helm and I can't wait to see him and ask him what he thinks of DR now.........

Where the upgrade needs to be is the staff OL coach right now Mike Munchak is sitting out there and several top end assistants Vic Fangio A decent head coach with a reall good staff can get a lot done.
