Out with the old, in with the new! Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out! Get him out!

Glad he's gone and now we can see if the Raiders defense can make a stop before half time under him..

As Joe Judge and Jason Garrett prepare to file for unemployment.... Which means absolutely nothing. Judge was a putz, and Garrett offenses never fit to the modern day NFL. Daboll would be doing himself a disservice with inexperience at two of the most important assistant positions on the team. Again, the point was Zimmer is a good defensive coordinator. And his experience as an NFL head coach could help a young head coach. There were many on this board that liked the Garrett and Kitchens hiring for the exact same reason, they could help out the young HC. Then after it failed, those same people jumped to "too many cooks in the kitchen!"

I think what he needs to do is get some NFL experience as a coordinator in another area of expertise, be it offensive coordinator or defensive coordinator. His ultimate responsibility as a HC was putting a game plan together or signing off on the game plans of his delegates, so he needs to get some of the experience of something other than special teams on the NFL level. While he is at it, maybe take some lessons in psychology/sociology...or improv.

I liked Graham. Originally I was hoping he'd stay. Thought he did a good job. Fans complain about his bend not break defense. Which I'm not an advocate of either. but sometimes it's the best course of action. No pass rush hard to be aggressive without a sincere pass rush. In 2020 we led the league in least amount of red zone TD's. They were 9th in the league in pts allowed. And imagine if our defense wasn't on the field 2/3 of the time.
But as of today I think it's better he's gone. He was taking interviews for lateral move knowing we wanted him back. He wanted out. If he doesn't want to be here he needs to be gone. Plus if it's true we get another compensatory draft pick better yet.
A new beginning with no bitterness or 2nd guessing from the old regime. More than enough young players to buy into the new systems especially if they start producing.

Strange because the Raiders run a strict 4/3 and really don't have the personal to make a quick adjustment.. Crosby is a bad fit.. I'm not familiar with the Raider's defensive personnel and depth/rotation - but if the Giants were to switch to 4-3 base, I don't see how they could do that with their current personnel.

I'm sorry, did I miss something about this guy? Did we have a top 5 D or better the past 2 yrs with him as the DC? I do know for a fact that his D allowed close to 100 pts in the final 2 min of the 1st half in just about every single game this yr. No huge loss.

I'm not saying the defense was great, but considering how pathetically awful the offense was I think Graham did a decent job to mitigate it. He probably could not be as aggressive as he wanted knowing the Giants offense would likely only put up 14-17 points at the most. That being said, I think they could bring in another guy and have just as much "success" as he did so I don't think losing him was that big of a deal.

I don't think it had anything to do with Flores' situation. IMO, it had to do with: 1) Having to come back and be under the guy that beat him out for the HC job. It would have been awkward for him to come back. If it wasn't, he would not have interviewed for those other jobs. 2) Going to a better team and getting a faster track and better chance at becoming a HC. Being a coordinator for a playoff team is better on the resume than being a coordinator for a bottom feeder that is at least 2 years away. 3) More money 4) No state income tax Graham is good and smart guy from what I've been hearing. He will be a HC in the near future. I was hoping that he would have gotten the Vikings job. I wish him the best going forward. That could very well be but he was under contract with the Giants. He took a step down from asst, HC/DC to DC. The Giants would have had to approve the move. Their had to be another reason than those you mentioned. I agree he was likely not happy with the Giants how they may have handled the Flores situation. But since judge is gone id prefer a clean sweep and have the HC form his own coaches. So it is best for both imo.
