The more I watch Caleb Williams, the more I want someone else. He is SO careless with the ball, I mean dude fumbles soooo much, it's like DJ in his 1st few years and I don't think I can endure that again

every time I've watched Penix, I've been quite impressed, teams will have to do their due diligence on his health, but he's gotten through this season so far unscathed, so maybe there's hope!!

But I have not been particularly impressed with what I have watched of him so far. Lot of highlight type plays, but crazy inconsistent. Doesn't seem to handle pressure well at all. IDK, a lot of people who know more about this stuff than me think he's the top guy, so I will defer to them. He certainly has all the talent you need, does he have the mental makeup and the ability to listen and learn? I'll be honest, his little pity party after the loss really made me question his ability to handle the pressures of the NFL unrelated to play on the field. Particularly in a media market like NY. Visions of Ryan Leaf media explosions.

I don't know much about this kid, but this highlight package leaves a bit to be desired. A few balls looked underthrown but catchable to me, but i've seen "elite arm strength" in his scouting report. ... and I've seen ex-pro QBs have Maye at #1 overall on their board. Who knows with Maye, and the other #1 is a crier, fumbler, and seems as interested as being a GM as he does a football player. No sure things at QB in the draft as usual. Probably safer to trade back or draft Marvin Jr. Maye seems very comfortable throwing deep or in tighter windows and throws 40 yard passes with ease. He was just trying to put some loft on the underthrown balls but still very catchable. Can throw a 40 yard line drive which I haven't seen Jones do much of. Can't take away too much from highlight videos but just what I see.

I just watched Drake Maye highlights well some of them and only watched some of Caleb when they played Colorado. Who would you rather had if we had a chance at either? There are a few more who warrant consideration; 1) Bo Nix - He is like a hybrid of Justin Herbert and Josh Allen 2) Michael Penix Jr - Best deep ball in all of FBS 3) JJ McCarthy - Game Manager type but deadly accurate and throws deep 4) Sam Hartmann - Experienced and can make all the throws Its a deep QB class where if things are trending where I think they will we will be choosing from one of these in the first round Bo Nix sounds pretty good to me. Colin Cowherd likes Drake Maye, he like him for the Giants. Was saying this today on his show. The more I hear about this Drake Maye the more he sounds like a winner to me. Dabol can pick his own QB to develop. He's apparently pretty good at that.

Starting to think Williams isn't the guy I know and what is all this crying about with this guy. It's happened like 3 times I understand. Colin Cowherd was showing it on his show. He wants to cry he'll get his chance if the Giants draft him and he see's this offense.

Wow, that was something. I wouldn't out much stake into it though Maybe, but if this is an indication of how he handles adversity and losing, I can't see him having success in the NFL. Could be just a one time moment of weakness, IDK. Its a tough game and a tough world, one needs to be ready to face it before they can succeed. That display is not the actions of a person ready to face it.

Caleb says it's a "game time decision" whether or not he's going to enter the draft this year and said he isn't ashamed of showing emotion after running to his mom.
The signal-caller said it was one of his “most important years of playing football so far.”
“I’ve never been in this situation, where I’m 7-5 and there are no playoff hopes at the end of the season,” Williams said. “I’m dealing with it emotionally, dealing with it spiritually and physically. It’s been one of the most important years I think I’ve had. It’s tricky. I’ve had to have talks with [USC head coach] Lincoln [Riley] — because obviously I haven’t been through it — or with my family members or people like that, just how to deal with this and lead, how to stay the same person I was before the season or after our first loss or second loss.
“So, it was different. It was a learning process.”
....just something about this guy I don't like. So dramatic.

Caleb Williams looked like a system QB recently. Sure, it could work out, but Im starting to get off his bandwagon the more I watch. I saw Penix really for the first time this weekend. Throws a beautiful deep ball. Looks like a real QB. Maye is also one I do like. And Hartman. Its going to be interesting... We have a QB eating up nearly $70M of our cap next year who looks like a good backup QB. the big issue with Penix is his injury history. His play is quite nice. The bigger issue with Penix is he's a lefty. So Evan Neal is now protecting his blind side and Andrew Thomas becomes one of the highest payed OLTs not to protect his blindside?

I could care less about the $$, the bigger/scarier issue is having Neal protect an already injury prone QBs blind side. Both tackle spots have become premier positions in today's offense

I really think Williams is considering sitting out of the draft and going back to USC since he's dreading going to a bad franchise and is already making a lot in college and is already worth millions. I think he is feeling out which team wants to draft him, and if he doesn't like where he is going he can back out and frame it that he cares so much about winning, turning USC around, etc. Can't think of another reason why entering the draft would be a "game time decision" for him.

I dont want anything to do with Caleb Williams anymore. Ill stand by that even if he turns out to be a great QB. Just too wishy washy emotional and sensitive. NY would eat him alive.
Not sold on Maye either. Maybe thats just Tabaco Road QB syndrome. Meh
Jayden Daniels is my top QB. Risky, but electrifying. Not sure he is a Schoen / Daboll type QB though. I think they like the bigger tougher QBs. Daniels is pretty slim. Just my opinion.
Bo Nix, Id pass on. Penix I like but the injury issues concern me. We cant draft another injury prone QB.

They way it stands now, with winnable games against the Packers and Saints...this may all be a moot point as far as Williams and Maye are concerned...and I'm actually fine with that.

Pass on Williams after his $$$ statement and his treatment with the ball. I take Maye or Penix but we got plenty of other issues to deal with to go along with QB's./ How bout coaching, scouting DEPT.

Caleb Williams liked this post on Twitter/X about not wanting to go to the Bears. Grasping at straws. Not me, the story has been all over the media. Caleb liked the tweet, don't know why he'd like it if he didn't agree with it and was already rumored he didn't want to go to Chicago. Heard a few people in the media claim he's doing it to "keep receipts" from doubters...sounds ridiculous.
