If you think every owner in the league isn't involved, bare minimum, to that degree...you're delusional.
Many are involved far more.
David Tepper was giving his opinion on Bryce Young's footwork to the coaching staff last year and made suggestions. That's insanity, not this.

The Maras talk out of both sides of their mouth.
Theyre very involved. Just read about the Eli trade and the number of people in the room when Ernie was negotiating it. John, Wellington, Frank (how often do we talk about Frank!), Chris.
It’s a family business and ultimately everything goes through them. They talk amongst the family about decisions, they push back on things, they make preferences known.
Any other version of how things work is fiction.

Ugh, didn't the Chargers get multiple Pro Bowlers for their trade with us?
Lots of draft capital to give away while Big Ben was still on the board to call it the "best trade ever."
The NYG lacked the depth to be a consistent winner the 15 years Eli was QB. Playoff wins only 2 years out of 15.
When were these quotes made? ...looks like 2019.
...but still, sounds like Mara is still living in the past.
And Phill Simms was booed on draft day after getting drafted from a lesser known school than Duke and was benched, considered a bust by some the first few years. Parcells wasn't a big fan.
Simms was part of the same team that won a SuperBowl with a backup QB with invalidates his quote.
Drafting LT after Simms was drafted helped.

It is his team why do we moan if he makes decisions football or not. If he feels things should go one way and the GM feels another way and they can’t come to an agreement, guess who wins. We would be in much worse shape if us fans made the decisions with the amount of knowledge we have about running a professional football team. |

Makes out to be much more football savvy then some on here think he is also they talked it through with the GM and everyone else they got done what was one of the biggest moves for the franchise since drafting LT. In the end if EA said no were giving them what they want thats what it would have been. |

I couldn’t care less how much or how little he’s involved - it’s his team.
Bottom line he’s the owner he’s in charge nobody else. The second part of that bottom line is his teams have sucked for over a decade so regardless of how much he is involved or how little he is involved he’s not getting the job done anymore. Not even close.
